Yeah. I think it is treated a bit too harshly from time to time. I don’t mind it, though I will acknowledge the season has some low and high points throughout it.
Yep, Cat Blanc deserves the top spot. We get to see how important Cat Noir truly is. Ladybug is legit struggling without him and throughout the show, we saw a villain driven by anger, guilt, sadness, but never about insanity. So this was truly a breath of fresh air. They really did a good job of making Cat Blanc unsettling.

Literally, if it was anyone *OTHER* than Thomas Astruc as the akumatized villain, I'd be at least a bit more confident in saying that this episode is one of my favorites.
When I watched Stormy Weather 2 for the first time, the flashbacks didn’t feel unnecessary to me because it was listed as the first episode of the season on Netflix since they had season 3 split into 2. Now that I know it was in the middle of the season, I understand why everyone hates it.
Same, I was calculating some stuff about my personal project, which I love and always think about and try to improve, but when I cleared the TH-cam feed and saw a critical retrospective uploaded smth, I got my priorities straight and buckled up
Because if any show ever needed a clip show episode, it's definitely Miraculous. At least the Simpsons try to be creative with their clip show episodes.
season 3 is the most mixed bag out of an entire show that is itself a mixed bag, and i think the reason for that is because the most memorable episodes always feel like they operate in extremes. they're either extremely bad or extremely good. the premiere and finale are terrible, but episodes like cat blanc, ikari gozen, and miraculer are really good. there's no other season that feels quite as split, and honestly, i find that fascinating.
36:20 actually the sentimonster theory for Adrien started after the season 2 finale in which we learned about sentimonsters. I personally did write up reasons why Adrien could be a sentimonster. Tho I also believe that Adrien being a sentimonster wasn't actually planned. I believe it was another instance of Thomas indulging fan theories/desires. Just like Chat blanc and Felix's existence. I believe "Felix" was to be a more solid hint at Emilie being the peacock holder and only Felix being a sentimonster. They didn't actually start hinting at Adrien being a sentimonster until late s4.
It's not possible. We saw the date in the script of season 3. Season 3 was written during the diffusion of season 2. So they didn't had the review of the viewer. You can see that yourself if you want 👍 And it's the same thing with season 3. And also all the writers teams don't look at critism
@@mimiquoi7380 I'm not sure what you're saying "isn't possible" Fans were making stuff about cat noir being akumatized and the suit being a white cat and the name being Cat Blanc before season 2 was airred. There were fan fictions about it everywhere. Also not every episode was written at the same time, cat Blanc was one of the later episodes in season 3. If you're talking about the sentimonster thing, what you said doesn't counter what I said. I said that Adrien wasn't originally planned to be a sentimonster, and they didn't start hinting at it until late season 4, which lines up.
@@AnimationStation3000 sorry english is not my first language. Some people did find hints. In season 2 in the Collector we see a statue of two rings that foreshadow the twin rings. In season 1 the painting of Emily is inspired by a real painting of a woman who can't have a child. In season 3 in "Felix" Felix ask a question to Adrien "You always do what's your father tell you to do ?" When we know the motivation and backstory of Felix we know it's cleary an hint. And they can't really foreshadow direct hint in season 1 and 2 about sentimonsters because the Peacok Miraculous and his powers was not introduced yet.
@@mimiquoi7380 I'm aware of all this. But note one thing, miraculous wasn't originally planned to be this long. It was planned that be 3 seasons but got greenlit for more. I'm aware of all the "evidence" in season 1 and 2, I've even written lists of it myself. It should have been hinted at in season 3 more and a little season 2. Every "hint" can be written off as a coincidence. Or hinting at Felix being a Senti. Adrien being obedient was originally Adrien's choice, his father is strict from a family of high standing. When you have strict parents some kids feel they have no choice but to obey (Adrien is an example of this). Gabriel didn't wear the ring that had Adrien's amok until Gabriel took Emilie's ring after Felix stole his. So Adrien would have had free will up to this point. But Gabriel doesn't "control" him at all in the finale after "Felix". Gabriel doesn't start controlling Adrien until season 4 as this is when Thomas actually starts indulging the years long theory. Just like the Jagged stone being Luka and Juleka father popped up in season 2 (captain hardrock) wasn't confirmed until season 4 (silencer) These theories popped up during season 2, and we're realized in the show until season 4. Simply put, Thomas saw that the fans liked the idea. And inserted it into the show.
Cat blanc is one of the most important episodes of the series. It was so unique back in the day and the action was top tier. One of the things I realised during rewatch was how much cat blanc affected marrinete. She was never the same after this episode. And if you think of it the reason why she was distant with cat noir in season 4 was because she was afraid that he would learn her identity and somehow be akumatized again.
Kagami definitely gets better in Ikari Gozen. But I don’t think it should be Marinette who became her friend. Considering she was awful to Kagami before! It feels kinda icky. Especially considering later seasons! If I were to give Kagami her first friend after Adrien. I’d probably do Juleka.
The problem with the Ladybug episode is mainly that it juggles so many subplots simultaneously and tries to fit them in a 22-minute format. Lila and Mariette's escalating rivalry, Natalie's relationship with Gabriel as well as her health complications, and the subject of Sentimonster free will are all interesting subjects on their own but put them all into a single, and it becomes too much, resolving everything up rather haphazardly. In an hour-long format or as a two-parter it might have worked better, but the episode we have now is very rushed and thematically disjointed.
@@Slatelovesfilm That is definitely true, and while I don’t mind so much, I can definitely get behind someone else feeling overwhelmed by all the plot points.

Honestly why did we get freaking rise of the sphynx instead of a smash bros style game. I am genuinely interested in what the character's movesets would be. Imagine a final smash of whatever Alix villain is where you can give the enemy a bunch of kicks while the enemy is in place unable to move, just to explode at the end. Or some sort of mechanic with zombizou, Im sure she would break the game. Or dark owl having. lot of nick nacks and gadgets. I imagine a bulky young link. Zombizou will probably use her lipstick as slash and and have a Crit mechanic with it by doing residual damage or make ur character have harder controls also she will use zombies as an attack

52:23 to be fair while ladybugs reasonings and what you said for it makes sense since miracle queen had all the other heroes at the time identities revealed ladybug still came back with miraculous to them kind of making her reasoning for Chloe stupid if she ditches it for everyone else
So…because mostly everything I have problems with Chat Blanc you said you don’t really care about, I’m going to take a different route with it. 1. The reasons why Chat Blanc was akumatized disappointed me a little. I thought Chat Noir was finally going to get fed up with feeling left out and playing second fiddle to Ladybug and so he was going to get akumatized. But it fact that he was torn between his dad and Ladybug did build tension. I just wish his akumatization had more to do with him wanting more respect from Ladybug. (This is something I’m going to get into much later) 2. The fact that Adrien NEVER finds out about Chat Blanc is disappointing. I feel like we missed out on some good Adrien angst. Him feeling like he now needs to be extra careful around Ladybug knowing he kills her in a different timeline. Him constantly questioning just how far his is from the monster that is Chat Blanc. Instead it had to only be about Marinette and how SHE felt. Never mind the fact that Adrien was akumatized in a DIFFERENT UNIVERSE! And 3. The way Ladybug defeats Chat Blanc is underwhelming. I was ready for LB to give CB a heart felt speech about how CN is stronger than the akuma, being an actual good partner and encourages Chat to break out of the Akuma’s hold (because it was literally proven in the same season that you can break out of an Akuma). But no. Ladybug just does the standard ass Lucky Charm (that doesn’t even help her actually defeat him) and uses a “heart felt” words to trick CB into lowering his guard in order to take his akuma. It literally deflates any tension the fight had. If I had to rewrite this episode I’d first put it in S4, and replace Ephemeral with it. (Cus let’s be honest, Chat Blanc being the villain is a better villain than whatever the hell Ephemeral was) and instead of the reason that Chat gets akumatized is because of HM, it’s because of him feeling subservient to Ladybug (something S4 actually dives into but never has payoff). To make matters even more interesting, the akuma goes into his ring instead of his bell. So when Ladybug confronts Chat Blanc and is trying to figure out where the akuma is, at first she’s fairly confident. But her confidence is lowly withered down by both her breaking items on Chat’s costume only for the akuma to not be there, Chat Noir absolutely wrecking her during the fight and all the while him explaining how angry he is at her constantly making him feel like an outcast. And when the reality hits as to where the akuma actually is, she’s utterly broken at this point because she’s also coming to terms that she’s a big part of the reason why things are like this. And so she finally takes fault, apologizes to Char Noir and admits to him up front how much he means to her. And that’s the thing that finally breaks the Akuma’s hold on Chat Noir. Ladybug and him hug, Ladybug purifies the akuma and sets things right. But now things have fundamentally shifted between the two. Ladybug now has to keep a promise that she’ll treat Chat better as a partner and Chat now has to live with the guilt of hurting Ladybug. And now that I have THAT out of the way, I want to talk about something else that bothered me about the list. Just how high up “Reflektdoll” is. “Reflektdoll” would have been one of my favorite episodes if it wasn’t for the fact that the lesson of the episode being wasted and the events of the episode being frustrating (to me). That episode should have been a “walk a mile in my shoes” for BOTH Ladybug and Chat Noir. They should have came out of that episode appreciating each other more. But instead, the episode had Marinette act like a jerk to Chat, chastising him about the usage of the Lucky Charm claiming that “You can’t just use the charm willy-nilly. You have to learn about your opponent first.” (even though she has done the same in the past), make fun of Adrien in saying how easy and “lighter” the cat miraculous is even though Kitty Noir screws up her “cataclysm” and it NEVER gets brought up by Mister Bug. It just gets swept under the rug. And it STILL felt like Marinette was the leader between the two. I thought ReflekDoll would be the time Adrien gets to be the brains and solve things for once. But the episode holds his hand, not letting him come up with the solution himself even though he’s capable of thinking on his feet (as seen in Oblivio and that one episode where Chat tricks Ladybug into thinking he’s Adrien in the shower to keep her from going in because…I think it was a secret identity related thing). The episode just felt like Adrien was dumbed down as Mister Bug. And in the VERY end, Marinette doesn’t reflect at all what it was like being Chat Noir and the hardships that came with it. It was Adrien that had to do all of the reflecting. I say all of this to say, I can’t say I agree with your placings of either episodes.

Season 3 is in an odd place for me being like my second or third favourite season (season 1 is rushed as hell and shit but season 3 has miracle queen) but still it is probably the season i watched the most so it does have a special place in my heart
For me season 3 is my least favorite season mostly cause compared to all the rest, it lacks an identity. It genuinely feels like season 2 part 2 and its not even a worthwhile part 2. Season 1 is our introduction, season 2 add new concepts and new characters that will continue to be important, season 4 shakes up the character interractions and akuma fights, and season 5 is the first arc's finale wrapping up loose ends. But season 3 is just the weird middle child. Both the beginning and end are lackluster, 3 out of the 5 heroes introduced basically become human tools for ladybug, and it has the most unenjoyable filler out of all the seasons.
32:35 easily one of my favourites villains in the show, and definitely one of my favourite episodes It also stops Planet Level Durability, even if their is a bunch of plot holes
26:29 I practice this is “nothing: the episode”. I LOVE memory wiping plots, but it feels like this episode does the exact thing to me for its existence.
Something that I realised is that some people talked about "filler" for Miraculous.. But those people don't realise that that show is not a "serial show" (I think it's that sorry english is not my main language 🤔). Miraculous is an episodic show at his core. Every episode has to be his own adventure that we can understand even if we don't know anything about it. Yeah we had a storyline that led to the main story but it's just normal with this genre of show that sometime it's not the main focus. I don't think it's fair sometime to judge this show about "filler" when it's just his genre.. 🤔
You can't be episodic and serial. Being episodic worked earlier on, but then they started this whole big evil plan and other things that should leave a lasting impact. Instead, they just keep hitting the reset button.
@@ggrarl it's called semi-episodic. It's when we have independant story in term of episodes but with a real continuity between them and generally a main story/arc during the season. I know a lot of show like that like Code Lyoko or Doctor Who. So yeah we can absolutely doing that type of show/series.
Good news! Marinette is not a stalker anymore! It took her 4 seasons but she is less cringe now! Gabriel is still remembered as a good father despite being really cruel with his son, Chloe's redemption arc will never return but Mari is less weird.
So most of the show's problems come from season 3. I thought I liked it cause I started watching MLB in 2019 when season 3 was airing but I watched a "season 2" ranking recently and it was far more enjoyable... (Cat Blanc is still my favourite episode of the show ever!)
Oblivio was an amazing episode compared to most others in my opinion. It was very different and for a villain of the week show with tons of repitition both on the civilian and superhero side, this was cool.
My favorite episodes of season 3 🐈 Blanc, Puppeteer 2 and Chris Master and also Party Crasher seeing 🐈⬛ Noir akumatized was a beautiful sight especially the blue 👀 they were perfect for him and I still hope to 👀 more of him again someday and puppeteer is 1 of my favorite villain of course it was fabulous to 👀 her again in season 3 also Chris master was amazing and adorable and the ending was very funny😂 also my favorite thing about party crasher is just King 🐒, but it was still great and a little funny😁 episode.
While I by no means think stormy weather 2 is good, I do remember that it did contain the confirmation of Natali'es feelings in her section so even though I was disappointed with the episode that tidbit fed me.
Season 3 is a mixed bag for me. A lot of stuff was fumbled this season, but I want to shine the light on an episode that most fans probably forgot about (except for @jaiyanabailey8149 ), and it is stormy weather 2.0 . The first (and hopefully last) clipshow episode! Now what sucks about this episode isn't its format but moreso the fact that it had one of the coolest plots compared to most season 3 episodes yet it was the one that was specifically chosen to be wasted instead of the wax museum episode (YAY ig). I mean, it had everything to be a great episode it had high stakes with the giant volcano and the time limit with the earth being pushed out of orbit. The chance to introduce a new powerup (probably the fire powerup) because it's been ages since got a new one. Not mention you can never go wrong with stormy weather she's got a cool design, cool powers and they could have used this episode to develop her more as character because I do believe that if anyone should've succeeded chloe as queen bee it should've been aurora. Thank you for reading all of this. I wish knew how to end this comment properly but in spirit of season 3 I'm gonna half @*$ my comment :P
Gona be honest; Only reached Stormy weather 2.... I agree. I consider it the 2nd wort episode of the whole seria (1st Ephemerald, that is.... An other topic😅) considering being kinda 0 on my scale, only redeeming thing is a good Rena transformatoon, as it got a new sound, but she has better in Optigami.... Tho, fun fact, I think, if we would swich Ephemerald and Stormy weather 2, later being the 100th episode (writing to be fitting) would be way more excused ... I mean, Sw2. is not great actionwhise, but at least would have been a good nostalgia-episode

Season 3 was probably one of the worst seasons for me. It was just so boring and I don't really want to talk about the creepy stuff that Marinette did in this season. 😭 Anyways now time to comment my thoughts on your ranking! Honestly yeah, Stormy Weather 2 was a waste of time. 😅 I didn't REALLY mind it though. It was ok and it gave us the characters' perspective e.g. Nathalie talking about her job and working for Gabriel was very interesting imo. And omg Cat Blanc was also my favourite! There was just so much going on and it gave us a deeper look into Gabriel's character. We found out that he's not doing this for his family, but really he just wants power. (And yet the writers decided to redeem him anyway 🙄) I was also able to empathise with Adrien in this episode. He became the most relatable character for me, in terms of like the emotional and physical abuse he received from Gabriel. I won't go into too much detail about how I can relate, but I can, and it was the 3rd episode ever in miraculous to actually make me cry. 😅 The first was actually Ladybug when Mayura destroyed the sentimonster and the second was Heart Hunter when Marinette broke down in tears because of everything that was going wrong in her life. But none of the episodes in season 1 and 2 made me cry lol. Anyways I agree with a lot of the places you ranked these episodes! Although i would probably put ones where there's a focus on the love square higher e.g. startrain and weredad. Also I didn't know you were in year 13. I am too! You're probably still older than me though because i turned 17 on the 3rd of May so I'm younger than most people in that year. 😭
If Stormy weather's powers are stronger, shouldn't her outfit changes too? I imagine her with a dress made of lava or thunder, that would be so cool 🤩I wished her outfit would be different! Maybe it's a nitpick or not important but i find it dissapointing. Bosses in video games have a new form when they become stronger, same for villains in anime like Naraku from Inuyasha. Why villains don't get one in this show too?
There were a lot of episodes I didn’t like in season 3. Especially because of how Marinette was either 1. Stalking Adrien. 2. Abusing Cat Noir or being an asshole to him multiple times within in this season. Or 3. Outright thinking it was okay to send a confession of love on the day of Adrien’s mother’s supposed death! And yes. This is a problem! And especially how Marinette treated Kagami in this season! Seriously! Marinette didn’t deserve Kagami as a friend after what she did in Ikari Gozen! Okay. I’m good. I just really don’t like how Marinette gets away with being horrible to others. It’s sickening!
PS the only thing I liked in 🫀 Hunter is when Chloe's parents were akumatized and went after Chloe they were like 🫀 Hunter: Chloe my princess your going to give us all of your ❤ and Chloe was like Nah ah, sorry, no way I don't ❤ anyone and 🫀Hunter was like of course you do darling you ❤ yourself it was funny😁😂🤣.
25:14 I have to disagree with this one. While yes Max having more development would’ve been nice to see I still think he earned it considering not only did this one involve his friends but also his own freaking mom as well. I firmly believe that family is always a good reason as to want to have powers to use for good
I don't like that one of your critiques for Gamer 2.0) being that it's filler. In a show with a villain of the week nature and such a snail-paced plot progression, I don't think it's exactly fair to say that it being "filler" is somehow taking away from it. But to be fair, we all judge episodes in different ways and all have what we think matters in an episode.
21:08 Which would be fine in a vacuum, but it takes away from the actual new hero and supposed focus: LUKA! His hero introduction is laughable compared to Kagami.
Also the only episode I hated😡 in season 3 is Miracle Queen that episode is the worst episode ever and horribly bad and very 💔 which I know most people think, but I just had to let it out 😮💨 I feel better now 🙂.
One would think that Marinette and Adrien would be dating this season because of the kiss she gave him at the end of the second season. But we already know that this series has mediocre and weak continuity.
@@christ5431 No, Rose and Juleka are a good couple. Marinette and Adrien are doomed. She can't stop lying to him, barely knows him and only loves the idealized image of him. @@mayotango1317 Marinette loves "the real Adrien" in the end of season 4 when Adrien didn't want to be a model anymore, everyone didn't care except Mari and if you consider Cat Noir as the real Adrien Marinette was also in love with him and she only lied to him about one thing, not to mention that she was manipulated too.
So (don't hate me) but i don't like chat blanc first of all 1) how did ladybug break the timeline???? the only way to do is knowing the future she was just living her timeline?? this probably happened because of the episode getting rewritten a lot of times because of being scary. 2) i liked oblivio because it showed a reveal that we knew wasn't gonna be the real reveal because they lost their memories they don't know about each other, chat blanc did what would happen if the canon reveal happened same with ephemeral 3) the fan service, this show gets money from that and i get that you want to make the fans happy but a whole episode for a fan made character which videos before chat blanc were 4 minutes long. tbh i hate most of season 3 because it was soo rushed stormy weather 3 was cool but it could have been the first episode of season 4 where guardian marinette arc begins and maybe put more important flashback. I was also disappointed by ladybug but i guess marinette akumatized this early would have been problematic but this episode should have exposed lila cause at the end she says that she has a disease that make her say things she doesn't say if the characters were smart they would have said oh sorry we can't trust you anymore so everything unreal you say would be lies instead of putting all that lila stuff on season 5 at this point i like more filller episodes this season then story ones, season 5 ruined imo natalie and gabriel relationship so i don't really care about them getting close like in ladybug. I also don't like reflekdoll i mean i like the villain and misterbug but the lesson is supposed to be we are lucky to be on our shoes each one of us have different roles yet ladynoir always criticizes mr bug and when she cataclysm the sentimonster mr bug doesn't say anything about her i understand they are equal but ladybug is the leader but i think adrien should have been the leader in the episode imo season 3 is chaotic but at least is the last one i care about.
Chat Blanc, for some reason, blames Marinette for everything. Yes, she did something stupid, but really it's Gabriel’s fault. As soon as he finds out Adrien is Chat Noir, he beats him up and makes him an Akuma. Then when Ladybug shows up, you would think that the whole "power of love" thing from the theme song would help Adrien break free or something. Instead...💀 Also, they way Adrien and Marinette get together feels disingenuous.

It's not possible. We saw the date in the script of season 3. Season 3 was written during the diffusion of season 2. So they didn't had the review of the viewer. You can see that yourself if you want 👍
And it's the same thing with season 3.
And also all the writers teams don't look at critism
@@mimiquoi7380 I'm not sure what you're saying "isn't possible"
Fans were making stuff about cat noir being akumatized and the suit being a white cat and the name being Cat Blanc before season 2 was airred.
Just like the Jagged stone being Luka and Juleka father popped up in season 2 (captain hardrock) wasn't confirmed until season 4 (silencer)
These theories popped up during season 2, and we're realized in the show until season 4.

Now I want this video, and if we don't get it I would probably write a head canon
Zombizou will probably use her lipstick as slash and and have a Crit mechanic with it by doing residual damage or make ur character have harder controls also she will use zombies as an attack

Thank u so much for the shoutout i greatly GREATLY appreciate it
So…because mostly everything I have problems with Chat Blanc you said you don’t really care about, I’m going to take a different route with it.
(This is something I’m going to get into much later)
I understand what you’re saying. I appreciate the differing perspectice, so thanks!
This is the reason that I like Passion so much because it actually showed us that Adrien can be competent with the ladybug miraculous.

32:35 easily one of my favourites villains in the show, and definitely one of my favourite episodes

Akumatized Cat Noir is oroginal Satorou Gojo, similar aesthetic and erasure techniques.
Gona be honest;
Only reached Stormy weather 2....

11:03 That part may have been true as it was revealed in 'Wishmaker' that he did have a cat.
4:14 The Sonic '06 dub? Didn't see _that_ coming.
32:53 That’s- a really good point. Why didn’t they come up with this one first?
41:07 Almost like we could have gotten more of this.
I firmly believe that family is always a good reason as to want to have powers to use for good
I definitely get where you’re coming from. 👍
hello again
Season 3 made me quit this show TBH.
50:30 Even though that it blew up in his face!!!
1:56 Spoilers: it's a recap episode!!! And I thought the "Previously ons" that shows sometimes do were annoying!!!

Instead...💀
Also, they way Adrien and Marinette get together feels disingenuous.
