Steve, Thanks for another awesome install video and product highlight. You by FAR produce the most comprehensive install videos on YT. Believe me when I say I have watched thousands of videos and yours are the most detailed and informative. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for the compliment Tony...thats what I strive for and its great to hear the extra time I take on the videos pays off and helps! Much appreciated sir.
it was certainly frustrating lol I did that intro about 30 times haha yeah they are pretty cool looking..these went on a buddies bike but im looking into this tyle for our own build now
Have those on my bags for my 2012 road glide custom. Hopefully I never lay it down to save the bags. But they looks awesome also!! Thanks for another informative video! 🤘🤘
Did you have to pull the back bolts and redo them. it looked like you put them in backwards. The only reason I ask is I have don’t it twice. Another great video. I will be checking these out.
it doesnt matter which way the bolts go...im just used to flipping them for air ride systems ..usually you have a fender extension back there that covers them up, this one however does not so the next time its in here I might swap them, but as far as what its doing...holding the bracket, the bolt can go either way and it does the same job lol
Hey bro! I had a comment earlier that said they were sold out.. same thing happened on the last engine guard from factory 47...but these have a may 1 date for back order...I wanted to get a set for my RG ST but looks like ill be waiting lol
a lot of the bars like this look similar ..there isnt much you can do with them...I like how these have added webbing at the weld points..to me it just beefs them up even more.
'23 RGST here. Great video, thank you. So no other brackets or other parts of any sort required to fit these? Also does it cause problems fitting the Advanblack fairing spoiler kit for 17+ RG? Best wishes.
you wont need anything special to mount these but you cannot run anything other then the chopped guard if you want to run the spoiler kit.it connects to the bar and its very specific where it connects.
Kits for the 2009+ "twin cam" style frames are backordered. Most of the performance bagger industry doesn't want to acknowledge how many of those bikes are still out here. They say "Those guys buy meathooks, audio and extended bags", I know brother. But consider the number of those bikes on the road. Make the parts. You'll be fine.
yeah thats the second video ive put out in a row that the parts sold out shortly after the video...the last factory 47 engine guard video was the same but those are meat hooks lol I have no idea when I make these how much stock they have but the website on this one says Estimated Ship Date : 5/1/2024 so thats not too bad.
Those are awsome. However I have advan black stretched side covers and bags also chin spoiler. So it looks like neither will fit with them. Am I corect?
I’m running stretched side covers as well. On site I see no option but to order full kit for touring bikes. I like the look of just the front. Also benefit of some function for foot rest. I just emailed Burly to see about just the front crash bar as an option.
they stick out the same distance as the not yo daddys by santoro ..the bars end neat eh edge and the sliders stick out further..maybe it was just my camera angle or something.
Nice product, any real reason that you reversed the bolts and nuts on the rear saddle bag support arm? The nuts are usually inside not facing outside. Just asking thanks
no reason at all...im so used to installing air ride and we flip those to make it easier to take off with air tanks and compressors that its just habit now but no, no reason..they can go either way

Very nice upgrade.
no im sorry you will have to maintain the stock oem set up of the chopped guard and the fairing support bracket for that...just the nature of the install and where the clamps fall out.
keep in mind that if you have a full engine guard , this will not work unless you change the fairing support brackets to the ones the mount to the gas tank bolt.

In the past few months, I have been hearing stories of riders being impaled by this style of engine guards. I don't know if there's truth to any of it.
I don't know. I mean obviously each to their own, but I really don't understand the purpose of this type of design. the whole idea behind crash bars is to protect your fairing and bags in the event your bike falls over. All of us at some point in our riding career is going to have a bike fall over and probably more than once. All it takes is putting your foot down in the wrong place at the wrong time and catching a little bit of sand or loose ground and out your foot goes. I don't see how these bars could possibly protect anything unless it's falling over on a hard surface. if you're on anything other than a hard surface, these things are just going to punch right through the ground and all of the parts you're trying to protect are going to still make contact.
I see your point about it punching the ground if you drop your bike on a soft surface and good point...however even the OEM engine guard will not protect your fairing ...it sits way in under your fairing, specially on road glides...they are called engine guards and saddlebag guards..so your fairing, depending on how you drop it will more than likely take a hit with this style or your OEM style.
I've been fortunate then. I have a 20 rgs and I've dropped it twice. one to left side and one to the right. left was on some leftover winter sand. to the right was in a rest area in Wyoming. got blasted with a massive wind gust right at the moment I was putting my foot down. that one the bike went literally all the way over on its side. not a scratch on my fairing either time. and my bag guards protected the bags. again, maybe I got lucky both times but so far my OEM bars have protected things.
Keep an eye out - we're working on it. Should be able to purchase separately in the next upcoming months as well as the addition of some colored slider options. =X
the 900 dollar price tag is under any other equally built set of these bars on the market. If you want bars like this you will pay the price...thats why it awesome to have so many options these days on upgrading our bike...there is always something that is in our budget.
