얼굴 관련한 말들이 보여서 댓글답니다. 웬디는 연말무대 때 3미터 정도의 높이 낙상사고로 얼굴, 손목, 골반 등에 부상을 입었어요. 특히 얼굴과 골반골절이라는 중상을 입어서 얼굴은 와이어로 고정했었구요. 워낙 큰 부상이었고 지금은 많이 회복했지만 부상으로 인한 붓기는 빠지려면 시간이 오래 걸려요. 영상보면 누가봐도 얼굴이 많이 부어있고, 그래서 인상이 달라보이는 건데 얼굴 얘기는 자제해주셨으면 해요. 더구나 노래 영상이니까요. 노래 너무 예쁘게 잘 부르잖아요.. 최근 영상들 보면 붓기 많이 빠졌어요. 다시 무대 서려고 재활과 치료 열심히 하고 돌아와준 웬디에게 응원 많이 부탁드립니다!

I have actually seen people say her vocal color is lacking and I seriously think those people are tone deaf. She has like 5 different voices (sometimes utilizing them on a single track) and can sound like her members when she wants to! She is a phenomenal vocalist!

Always switching it up. Her diction and phrasing is amazing. Like how can she sing like that on Butterflies? Then her lower register in Look, Body Talk, and Milkshake and her heavenly vocals on What If Love and Blue Lemonade and sultry vocals on Automatic and Light Me Up, Her jazzy vocals on Be Natural, her swagger on Taste and Time Slip and In & Out, and her powerful vocals and adlibs on Oh Boy, With You, Umpah Umpah, Dumb Dumb, and then there are numerous songs with that amazing high note! She can do all kinds of high notes. Maybe SM still lack in promoting her, but not 'never promoted her' like what you've said. She sang 10 ost (if I'm not mistaken, 2 with seulgi and I'm not including rv. Also I didn't think there is any 3rd gen gg idol that has sing ost more than her) and she has 4 SM station. And now she is being an MC in this show, i think this called promotion. Also in case you didn't know, every SM artist release their solo after a long time years, even Taeyeon released her solo 8 years after her debut. We can't expect SM to be like YG for example, who release their artists solo in quite a short time after their debut (esp compared to SM). Every company have their own strategy

One of the most well-rounded idols of this generation though underappreciated. Queen damaged her vocal cords but STILL ended up as Red Velvet’s Main Vocalist. Did not have a background in dancing but still becomes the member that stands out frequently during their live performances for her moves and energy. The best rapper in the group despite not being a rapper or a part of the rap line. Yeah, Wendy deserves to debut solo first among the group, I can’t see anyone else going first rather than her. She deserves what she has more than anybody else.
I’m in tears when watching her sing. She’s finally back, and we know she made tons of efforts to stand in front of us again. I love her voice and her tones. She’s not only good at high notes, but also rhythms which makes her fit R&B perfectly. I really look forward to her solo career. Hopefully she will have more chance to sing live in this TV show and other shows. She deserves them.
The sound mixing to this performance is literally non existent. They only gave Wendy a mic to amplify & record her singing. Other than that, there was no need to enhance the audio. Wendy's voice is that pure, & natural.

Maybe SM still lack in promoting her, but not 'never promoted her' like what you've said. She sang 10 ost (if I'm not mistaken, 2 with seulgi and I'm not including rv. Also I didn't think there is any 3rd gen gg idol that has sing ost more than her) and she has 4 SM station. And now she is being an MC in this show, i think this called promotion.
Also in case you didn't know, every SM artist release their solo after a long time years, even Taeyeon released her solo 8 years after her debut. We can't expect SM to be like YG for example, who release their artists solo in quite a short time after their debut (esp compared to SM). Every company have their own strategy

One of the most well-rounded idols of this generation though underappreciated. Queen damaged her vocal cords but STILL ended up as Red Velvet’s Main Vocalist. Did not have a background in dancing but still becomes the member that stands out frequently during their live performances for her moves and energy. The best rapper in the group despite not being a rapper or a part of the rap line. Yeah, Wendy deserves to debut solo first among the group, I can’t see anyone else going first rather than her. She deserves what she has more than anybody else.

I’m in tears when watching her sing. She’s finally back, and we know she made tons of efforts to stand in front of us again. I love her voice and her tones. She’s not only good at high notes, but also rhythms which makes her fit R&B perfectly. I really look forward to her solo career. Hopefully she will have more chance to sing live in this TV show and other shows. She deserves them.

The sound mixing to this performance is literally non existent. They only gave Wendy a mic to amplify & record her singing. Other than that, there was no need to enhance the audio. Wendy's voice is that pure, & natural.
