    Just an FYI in TN you can't open the alcohol wipe prior to using it. They consider that contaminated. I do love your videos and am excited that you are covering headmaster!

    Hi Julie
    My question is, do I remove the gloves before recording the measurement or after recording?

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi, Isatou! You must remove and dispose of your gloves and verbalize "washing hands" before you record your measurement.
      If you are testing under Headmaster, you must use actual hand sanitizer after removing and disposing of gloves before recording your measurement.

    What exactly is considered a safe low level to headmasters? All the way down? Almost all the way down? I don’t want to fail because I feel its low enough only to find out they wanted it lower.

    Question Nurse Jar. On the Urine bag. When you go to record your urine measure. Are you supposed to take the gloves off first. Before touching the pen and paper. Because I would think that would be contaminating. I don’t know sure. That why I’m asking.

    • @freidapaynor1641
      @freidapaynor1641 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah,same thoughts here.

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, Freida & Janet!
      Yes! Before recording the output, you must remove and dispose of your gloves and immediately verbalize, " washing hands", then record your measurement.
      If you performed your closing procedures before measuring, you may then state, "skill complete". If you did not, after recording, you must put on a clean pair of gloves before emptying the graduate, rinsing it and emptying the rinse, and disposing of and/or replacing supplies back into storage.

    my instructor taught us that we are not allowed to put the open graduate- under the faucet. as the bacteria of the urine can splash up and get everywhere.

    • @gabbybadillo3450
      @gabbybadillo3450 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ours taught us to cover the graduate as we’re walking w the barrier then record the Urine on top of a commode, empty into the commode and then fill the grádate with water by the sides and empty it back into the commode. Also she taught us to gather all our supplies first then gown up and drain the urnie. I failed my first skills test and I’m watching videos to practice and their almost all different in some type of way. But I feel if you just stick to the same concept then it’ll be okay. There is obviously some big no nos but I’m sure you were taught those.

    I am taking my test with headmaster and for this skill it says to undo the waist first when removing PPE… can you confirm this?

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, Ashley! Who or what says this?
      The neck ties are considered clean, while the waist ties are considered dirty. You always work from clean to dirty. Therefore, you should untie the neck ties first, then the waist ties.
      Hope I answered your question!

      @@NURSEJAR it’s in my California Nurse Aid candidate handbook from D&S diversified Headmaster LLP!
      It was strange to me too because I remember it being neck first
      To place gown it says tie neck first just like in your video. So weird!
      Thank you for your videos so so much. I will be binge watching you for the next week as I test on Saturday. I have passed eight years ago but I got confused with Covid rules and didn’t get all my CEUS done so I am having to retake! I am so nervous! You are my god send

    • @NURSEJAR
      @NURSEJAR  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ashleyjean172 Oh, no! Good luck! Yes, I see in the handbook that it lists the waist first. But, it does not indicate it is an order-dependent step, so it should not matter which ties you undo first. However, to be on the safe side, I'd follow the order in your handbook!
