- The former site of the 1967 World's Fair in Montreal (Expo 67) has been transformed into an urban island oasis, connected to downtown by metro and home to one of the largest casinos in the world, an F1 race track, aquatic centre and beach, environment museum, Olympic-rowing basin, festival plaza and amusement park. A visit to Parc Jean-Drapeau is essential on any trip to Montreal.

I still have my Expo 67 passport, it was unbelievable, great memories!!, It was also open from 1968 to 1984 as Man and His World.
MONTREAL IS MAGIC!

Never a dull moment .This island is on the map .Just about everyone famous in all entertainment communities have been here. We're rich with cultural events and of course the GP Formula 1 race is the city's biggest attraction drawing nearly 200,000 people from all over the world.Come here in June and you'll see what I mean .You'll even want to STAY here!🇨🇦🎸🍸🎉🍻🍔🌭🍟🦞🍤🥟🍦🍰🍿🍭

I WAS A TEENAGER BY THEN REMEMBER THIS WITH ALL THE FANFARE MY COUNTRY CUBÁ GOT PRIZES IN IT ICE CREAM
Many people under 40 who were born in Montreal do not know Expo 67 ever took place. A large number also do not know Montreal hosted the Olympics in 1976. Of course they know the Olympic Stadium but do not know it was built for any Olympic Games.
It's a shame how Notre-Dame Island has been eviscerated from what it was in '67. Looks very noisy now.

Disney visited the site while it was still under construction, the dome was about 80% completed and caught his eye.
