- The Sukhumvit Road starting in Bangkok / Thailand is an important road for Bangkok and the coast area.
We start this walk at the first lane at Soi 1 and go up to Soi 63 (Ekkamai).
The Sukhumvit area of Bangkok has no traditional tourist sights yet show a more modern character of the city. There are luxury hotels, air-conditioned shopping malls mixed with restaurants and nightlife.
Many of the Sois have a different character where we'll explore some lanes in particular. There is Soi 4 which houses Nana Plaza, Soi 10 with nightclubs and further up malls like Terminal 21, then Asok and so on.

Reminds me of Colombia, Bogota and Medellin, which I prefer. The sounds and the traffic and the architecture in the alley ways. I've been to Bangkok also on business and spent one night in Pattaya.

Bangkok is from the old name since 100 years ago meaning “Town of olives” but it is easy for foreigners to pronounce so it sticks.

Thank you. This year there were lots of travels and walks everywhere I went. It may get slower next year now that I have close to 200 videos and recently passed 100 on the channel. Fast walking is good for fitness and I'd like to keep this channel going for a while now that it's growing nicely

Thank you. These walking videos were a growing niche as these are long and mostly silent tours with original city audio. These videos served as a substitute for traveling for these times. You'll find more places as each channel often focuses on a location. There is Rambalac (Japan), Pro Walks (Italy) or Watched Walker (UK) etc.. I mostly focus on Germany these days though will go around more when traveling is easier again.

@@poptravelorg Yes the humidity! Omg! The furthest I walked was from Soi 15 to the Emporium Mall. The next time from Wat Pho to Chinatown/Silom areas. I died twice on that one. Thank God for 7 eleven and coconut water lol. Subscribed bro keep em comin!
I spent a month in that area and it all looks so familiar, but I couldn't pick out any landmarks.
I was on foot most the time, but occasionally traveled across the city by train cab and once on bus
It is a wonderful city.
A lot has changed and places developed in the last 3 years, lots of new buildings and construction has taken place in Soi 11 and lower Soi 4 into Soi 6. I’m guessing this video was shot in the morning as things were just opening and not many street venders. I enjoy sitting in Arab Area for a good coffee and iced water. This video is away from the hub which is good to see. I’ve walked these streets many times as it was my area.

Great job. For better understanding you might like to mention audience that with a length of 488! kilometers, Sukhumvit Road is the longest road in Thailand and one of the longest in the world, starting in Bangkok Center and ending in Trat Province at the border to Cambodia.
Are you sure that title doesn’t belong to Phet Kasem road? It starts in Bangkok and ends at the border of Malaysia. I’ll give you that Sukhumvit is infinitely more interesting - especially its run through BKK - but it’s not as long.

Thank you! Back then I had the Osmo Pocket with the microphone mounted on a little powerbank. I hold the powerbank in my left hand while I take photos or check the map with my phone in the right hand. I may have a chance to return to South East Asia early next year but we'll see
