EARTHSECRET is yet another interpretation of a classic ol' Undertale AU: "Underswap" (alternatively, Moon creates another freaking underswap take). However, this take derives from a Deltarune AU called "DELTASWAP". Moreover, EARTHSECRET is an anagram of "AETHERCREST". This AU unremittingly utilizes more unique swap choices than the traditional ones, for instance: the Holidays swap with the Dreemurrs, the ghosts swap with the skeletons, angel swaps with knight, barrier swaps with fountain, etc...
Alphys still swaps with Undyne. The beloved pair is meant to be swapped with each other no matter what. Alphys is partially a cyborg for a reason. In some way, she's still a "royal scientist", albeit the job works somewhat differently here as she's also a militia. The royal guard equivalent to this AU is the "maven executive" and Alphys is the superior of said duty. In genocide route, she transforms into an angelic being while also being a more enhanced cyborg thanks to the ability of HOPE. However, you can't hit her due to an unstable defense, but she will die by melting due to "hoping too much". You just have to survive wait many turns for the form to fail on itself. She's really giving all she's got.
Fun fact: The background sound from "The World Will Live On" is the CORE ambience accompanied by fire crackles as a replacement to the wind sfx. You can hear it when you're looking at the CORE building from the distance. The amalgam motif sounding off represents the form's instability. Snowy motif represents "Hopes and Dreams", while Ruins/Waterfall represents "Determination" as the leitmotif plays during some major moments, at least in this case.

If you ask me, the start of “Strike The Real Villain” is great. I like how it feels reminiscing of how Alphys is like in normal Undertale, Awkward and Weird. Not to mention, at first I thought the melody was going to be bad, but then that guitar struck and man, it was so good.

Snowy and Monster Kid swap makes a lot of sense, especially considering they're both slightly more important than most monsters(not counting the main monster bosses) in the geno route, you needing to kill snowdrake or the run is failed, and monster kid being the final way to abort the run before you're locked into the alphys ruler ending or the genocide end
also plus the fact that in deltarune whenever you see either of them they're always together, so that makes it fit too
there's also the fact that they were made by the same person

I understand the idea of the hard syncopation in the intro, but it still feels kinda awkward

the intro feels kinda awkward, like alphys. i like it, it confuses me musically and then right when i think it's odd, boom we get the cool part that ties it together
If I had a nickel for every Underswap take with an Alphys and Undyne swap, and a melting cybernetic royal scientist, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

This is probably my favorite Alphys BAaTH, I love the way it executes the Amalgam leitmotif.
This is incredible. I love it.
Also, if Dess is the Asriel of this AU I wonder what her themes would be like.
Oooh! I just HAVE to go all English Teacher on this. The beginning feels awkward in a good way - since I assume this is more like a TS!Underswap where the characters keep some original personality traits (thank gosh, those are so much better than just regular swaps) it fits for alphys. the lone piano part feels awkward, like alphys, but then the rest of the instruments kick in and it becomes heroic, like alphys putting the awkwardness to the side to stop you
TS!Underswap doesn’t own the concept of swapping characters and keeping their personality. In fact, basically every underswap take does that.

This is really cool! The use of motif here is very well thought out, and I think it's cool how you base your underswap off of deltaswap. Great stuff here, I really like it!

With Earthsecret going through an overhaul, I figured I'd suggest an alternate motif swap concept: What if instead of swapping BAATH with Amalgam and MEGALOVANIA with Ghost Fight you swapped BAATH with MEGALOVANIA. Since, both are Genocide themes, Reoccurring themes and aren't tied to spefically one Character. Just an idea I'd thought I'd share.

Hey Moonster, I have a quick question about Earthsecret/Deltaswap. In Deltaswap, Sans swaps with Papyrus, right? But in Earthsecret, Sans swaps with Napstablook and Papyrus swaps with Mettaton. If Earthsecret is based off of Deltaswap, then shouldn’t Sans swap with Napstablook in Deltaswap?

i mean snowdrake isnt attached to snowdin, there's multiple similarities between snowy and monster kid (especially in the geno route)
Snowy isn't inherently connected to Snowdin. In undertale, that's not even where his family lived, just where he hangs out after running away. His father spends most of his time in hotland.
