A Visit To Cat Beach Sanctuary, Teluk Bahang! | The H Channel

If you are familiar with the Cat Island of Japan, you are in for a surprise as for the coming episode, we will be joining Blair and Sam as they journey to Teluk Bahang, Penang to visit Cat Beach Sanctuary!
Situated in the fishing village of Teluk Bahang, meet some adorable furry friends at Cat Beach Sanctuary! Part of a local non-profit organisation called Cat Lovers International Society, this sanctuary aims to improve the welfare of the cats in Penang and provide rescued cats with a place to stay and be cared for.
If you're wondering why this sanctuary has a beachside location, that's because the local fishermen have been caring for stray cats for many decades. On top of that, the Penang state government implemented a Zero Strays Policy in 2014 and the sanctuary provides a safe shelter for rescued and homeless strays in Penang.
Currently, Cat Beach Sanctuary is home to over 300 cats and kittens that are looking for their forever homes! Volunteers help give them loving care in an old wood bungalow on the beach in a quiet fishing village.
If you are planning to do good, there are plenty of volunteer tasks ranging from Admin, Promo and Social Media to Cat and Kitten Care and Repairs & Renovations.
