Been following DMB since I was 10, it’s now 2023, I’m almost 35 and I can confidently say this band has saved my life time and time again. Grateful for the ride
I have been onboard the DMB bus ever since the very first EP Remember Two Things. In spite of the tragic death of LeRoi and the departure of Boyd it is beyond the shadow of a doubt that DMB has only aged like fine wine over the past three decades. **R.I.P. LEROI MOORE 🎷🕊 **
@@DrLuke49I just saw them last night. A lot of bands I've grown up with have shown their age in performances, but this band has taken great care of themselves. The 30 year old songs sound just as good as they did when they first came out.
Funny they open with Listener Supported. I’m proud to say I was at this show as well as 76 others. While 12/3/98 will forever be the best show I’ve ever attended, Listener Supported was without question the best produced show I’ve ever seen from DMB. Ironically my buddy and I had seats directly behind the stage about 24 rows up. At first I was a bit disappointed being behind the stage u til I remembered how much Dave turns around to Carter and other band mates. So it was a very unique perspective to say the least. Great show, excellent DVD. Go buy it if they still have them in 2023.
Well it's 2023 at the time I'm writing this. I've always loved their music. My wife and i went to a concert in Lake Tahoe last year and it was such a great time I'll never forget.
RIght?? I can't tell you how many times I listened to that track back in high school. Hundreds at least. I was OBSESSED with that song. Every night I'd sneak out on my roof, smoke a joint, and listen to Crash and Ok Computer on my dad's nice studio headphones. It was magical. I haven't played Two Step on guitar in a good 15 years, but I guarantee I still remember 85% of it from muscle memory alone. Lol Such a great, great song. Never gets old.
Best band I’ve ever had the fortunate pleasure of seeing live again and again. They saved my life when introduced to me back in ‘07 while in a combat zone.
Dave is one of the biggest reason I started writing over two years ago. Been singing his music everyday since then. I’m forever grateful for my favorite band of all time! Tysm for this video 🙏
I have loved all sorts of music over my life. My parents loved DMB and started it all for me. I think I know the words to every single Dave Matthews Band song.
Listener Supported is one of the best live albums they have ever released, next to RR 95. The song selection was phenomenal, representing almost all the classic songs DMB plays even to this day. There will never be another band like this again.
I went to UVA and in the early days I hired Dave a few times to play at our various fraternity parties. Later Tim played a few gigs with him. They both are awesome…both as musicians and people.
Great singer song writer one of the best ensembles and great musicians in their own right. Unique yet familiar sound grateful to have experienced a band like this in my lifetime. Rock on DMB.
The Dave Matthews Band consists of really humble guys doing what they love to do. Each and every member professionally brilliant at their particular contribution making for some really groovy MUSIC. Keep up the fascinating work guys.
I remember being 13 in 2000 and my Dad recorded this special for me on a VHS so i could watch it in my room on my VCR. I have been in love with DMB since I was 12! So glad I have been so lucky to see them almost 40 times in the last 25 years
I've been around a long time and The Dave Matthews band is by far the most awesome band I've ever heard. I go to at least one concert every year! Keep it going Dave.
Wow. This was an incredible find for me. I have had the pleasure of working for DMB for many years. I SO vividly remember seeing Charlie Rose backstage at Mtview and having maybe my only starstruck moment to date (despite working for many big stars for years to come). I was so shocked and excited to see CR. The total opposite of what most folks would likely experience. This is actually kind of funny now- so stiff, but he obviously would not have sought out this story if he wasn't a fan. Great memories for me! And DMB continues to make fans happy to this day!
I'm glad we got the gift of the Dave Matthews Band. It takes up a lot of my music time. Relatable and awakening content and something for any/every mood. Love me some DMB!
It is amazing how these guys just happened to meet and were able to bring us something that is so perfect that it literally changes lives is about the most amazing thing I have ever seen!!
I adore them...and subscribe regularly to "The Church of Dave"...their poetry always makes me feel better when my life is going off the rails. Their music has seen me through so much in my life. I love them....more like family....
I've seen DMB twice last time-08 my Mom was fighting brain cancer we kinda got in2 it b/c I have epilepsy, cancer caused her to worry bout EVERYTHING she thought I'd go 2 St. Louis & have a seizure during the show I KNEW I HAD to see DMB I did,had a GREAT time, got home patched it up w/my Mom sadly we lost her in 09 I won't ever 4get the smile on her face when I screamed-There putting out a CD of the show I went 2! It came out b4 she passed away I got it & said here it is Mom, she gave me a hug!
I remember watching this on 60 min. 10 years ago like it was yesterday. That particular year I had seen DMB live at least four times. In each show that year the band was playing some of there "new" songs. This was the year I heard Bartender for the first time and fell compleatly head over heels in love with the song. This was the year grey street was born too. Man I was pissed when eveyday came out. I got a hold of lillywhite sessions online. So much better then everyday. SORRY GLEN
Picture this: 10th grade Spanish class in 1995. Kid next to me hands over a cassette tape. He says it's a band his brother saw the previous weekend down near his college in Charlottesville. On the label were the letters DMB. I was blown away. Fast forward a bit and while watching MTV I see David from Roseanne in the video for Satellite. Have seen them many times since then. Always fantastic!
Yes. I buy tickets to around 4 DMB shows a year, tailgate for hours before the shows, know all their songs word for word, always go in early for the front of the pit and seek up other fans where ever I go because Dave Matthews has money.
it truly is a non stop tour. I mean, they took what, six months off in 2011 if you count the caravan festivals as taking a break. They love music and their fans more than any other band.
Lived in Phoenix at the time, but wife and I after seeing them there decided to travel to SF for a long weekend and see them at the amphitheater there so were at that show. Great memories

Not sure how I just ran across this now... I'm a huge fan but for some reason just discovered this. Thanks for uploading this snippet, it was pretty cool.
why is DMB the best? they prove musicians don't have to be offensive, grungy, bizarre-looking, over-the-top freaks of nature to write and perform awesome music and reach the top (and stay there). look at dave--short hair, casual clothes. true talent stands on its own and can't be ignored. RIP Leroi
HE'S ALREADY WEIRD ... HE'S FROM SOUTH AFRICA! :P Weird enough for me lol. Honestly he's weird because his playing is weird. The noises he makes is weird. The way he dances is weird. Guys fucking weird :p Just doesn't have spiky blue hair.

+schmoab You know Lillywhite Sessions really has some rough rough songs as it's obviously not finished. But I swear I simply can't listen Grace is Gone on Busted Stuff. The LS version is perhaps my favorite recorded DMB song ever. That's how much I love that version. Captain is also brilliant, although the BS version is good. But those two LS Session versions of GIG and Captain are just such great great songs. Not sure where the mindset of the band was when they decided to do Everyday. Makes no sense at all.
part of the problem was Capshaw was trying to change their image. IDK if you remember around that time of everyday they were all.over.the.place. It was like they were turning onto the pop scene. They had performances on MTVs TRL, The Nickelodeon kids choice awards, they did the late night circuit a couple times, all while putting that shit album out that was just screaming "radio tunes" they were short, and played everywhere. I saw an interview a few years later where they discussed all that. I still don't understand why when they did BustedStuff they didn't record it with Steve Lillywhite .... One thing I do know is I'm glad they do go all out sell out mode with Glenn Ballard 😭😂😭
