Hey Sam, that's me at 14:10. I didn't realise you were recording, so glad u did as I didn't photo those huge rocks the olive was growing on! Got it planted at home waiting for it to start growing. Thanks for the fun weekend Sam. Mark.
Great video Sam! I'm drooling over those olive trees! Your property must be filling nicely! The birds will be... Uh ... well... Flocking to it of course..
Good adventure! I had forgotten about the boot savers/sock protectors there in Aus. Wish they had those here in the States! Love and healing to you and yours♥️
That big cut on the root system, that one thick piece of wood can make a nice little table top or a turntable for you for the bonsai to work on. Great video!!!
I cheered when you pushed that olive over 😀, what an exhausting task. I loved all the wildlife in this video, and the river was beautiful. So great that you took us along with you. Thanks.
Oh and I forgot to say. I love the pardalote nests. Cant wait to hear if you get the birds moving in. Do you have to bury the nests in the ground? For a few years I had pardalotes nesting in a tunnel they built in my compost pile. I had to make a new compost bin so I didnt disturb them. 🙂
Great video!!! You got quite a workout collecting that olive. Quick question... when you flat cut an olive how long does it usually take for roots to develop? I flat cut a 3" olive branch 3 months ago , I'm trying to keep the substrate moist but not soaking wet (with the help of a moist meter). Any help, suggestions or info you can give me will be much appreciated. I think all your followers consider you an expert in olives!!! Thanks....
Yeah flat cut the do what you are doing. Can be a year or more to shoot but generally 3 to 4 months to shoot . Warm weather gets it going. 👌 if you scratch branch and it's green the all good.
fucken , never seen ya in a pair of work boots, me old mate......the bonsai club must be makin ya wear 'em, I reckon......... ....................................yeah,..........nah...................you should see the ones I got this year champion
G,day mate love your work buddy , an additional tool if you can carry one is a crow bar with a nice cutting edge on it for the deeper down roots the saw can,t reach , I recently did a crepe Myrtle that had 4 trunks , planted 3 broke one ,fingers crossed I am hoping they recover in the ground planted in a new spot.
I really enjoyed the video Sam!!
Thanks Nigel ❤️

Great scenery Sam.
Cool little bird. Nice to make some nest boxes for them.
Great thinking bringing along the beneficial bacteria for the pine. Should help to get this pine off to a good start.
Looks like great time spent. Wow an olive bonsai + 2 coffee table tops :)

Tuff pull out of the Olive. Nice using your feet for leverage to get it out of the ground.

What is a Jiita?
@@angry9901 A treated wooden slab to present mostly smaller bonsai.
