I just got back for Thailand for the second time and I love it, just be careful with drinking the water, buy bottles of water for the shop also don’t brush your teeth with the tap water and ask for no ice in your drink. Also recommend taking hand sanitizer everywhere with you just to be safe. Hope you have fun xx

Whatever you do take any type of bug/ mosquito repellent, my mum and dad recently just got back from Thailand. They loved it and would definitely recommend going to the kings palace, big Buddha. In most places where monks live you can’t take pictures of them as it’s disrespectful, but if you do visit the kings palace you need a long sleeve shirt and a sarong or long pants💛x
Hey im a huge fan and have been watching your videos for a while now i just watched your most recent vlog where you asked for any Thailand recommendations. I went there 2 years ago with my family and had the time of my life i loved it so so much. My brother was over there last week. My recommendations are go to a few markets they r really fun to explore and buy random items. Rather than getting taxis get tuk tuks if possible they r like taxis but cheaper and they lit up like a disco and play music. Go to a full moon party if there is one on while you r there. Try and go to an elephant sanctuary (that was my absolute favorite part of the holiday ). Try and go see a few temples. When you r in bankok if you have time go to koh san road one night it is like the main road they have loads of bars and street shops. Hope you have an amazing time there ! ENJOY 😊

We have been on the jungle 360 safari tour where you go to different temples and a waterfall and see a coconut farm. It is a fab trip to gonon to see the whole island!! We have also been to the samui elephant sanctuary as they have rescued 6 elephants there from the horrible places where tourists ride them and they beat them. It is magical and you get to wash, feed and cuddle the elephants!!!!
I went to Bangkok and Koh Samui last year and it was soooo good it's a beautiful place ❤️🧡 and btw it won't be rainy season in Koh Samui its only rainy season on the other side of the country

Take plenty of trousers and maxi dresses! Sometimes it’s inappropriate/looked down on if you’re wearing short clothes in certain areas! Thailand is beautiful though- and Koh Samui is great! Visit Cosi Samui hotel if you can- near the main shopping centre, it’s super insta worthy upstairs and the service is fab! Enjoy x

Thailand!! I went in 2016 and went to Bangkok and Phuket-these are the things we done💗 Bangkok- shopping centres (they have about 7/8 floors), a mai Thai fight, sky bar(was in the hangover movie) and grand palace temples. Phuket- phi phi island tour, wash the elephants and a tour to the white Buddha (and blessed by a Buddha). Hope this helps🤗
Make sure you have a mosquito net, and when you're out there get a citronella spray, it keeps all the bugs away. Go to na muang waterfalls and silver beach. When going out for food always go where you see more locals this means there is good food - dont always go where there are more tourists. Learn a few thai phrases - they appreciate it. They do like to rip off tourists for over pricing things, and avoid people trying to push you to do excursions. Toilets are interesting, they dont use tissue paper and not always have a sink to wash your hands - so always take packs of tissues and hand sanitizer wherever you go - some toilets in public places can be squat ones and you have to flush using a bucket of water, so keep I mind when out and about. Hey Emily!! I've never been to Thailand but I know people who have and there are a lot of Mosquitos there currently I believe. I'm currently in Italy and I recommend you grab yourself some jungle Formula roll on insect deterrent it smells not very nice but I promise you it's worth it I've been here a full week at this stage and have not been bitten once also don't get the spray but the roll on one instead as the spray is absolutely rank! Koh Samui is great for shopping! Make sure you barter with the market stalls for price! Have a currency converter installed on your phone so you can work out prices so you never over-pay. The fake bags can be great but don’t let them convince you they are leather - if they are you can smell it & leather also doesn’t burn so you can ask for a lighter to put up to the corner :)

Hey Emily, I would 100% recommend taking a probiotic! Alflorex travel probiotics from boots are great. They saved me in Thailand, Vietnam and India. Also a scarf for the temples is so handy to have in your bag. Enjoy your travels ☺️☘️
Ko samui is beautiful! Don’t get in taxis that aren’t clearly a taxi, there’s a lot of English speaking locals from England, Australia etc they’re really helpful! Stay safe you’ll love it x
Hi Emily, I stayed at the Anataraluana hotel in Koh Samui and the WiFi connection was pretty good. Also I really recommend going on a speedboat trip around the James Bond ‘islands’ you can go snorkelling ! Definitely one of the best trips of my life xx
@emilycanham definitely go to an elephant sanctuary where they protect elephants whilst in Thailand, I went to Pattaya and Koh somet in April, seeing and touching the elephants was honestly one of the best experiences. So definitely have a think about giving it a go, you can go to little stalls that sell trips to the sanctuaries for pretty cheap👍🐘

You won’t need that checked shirt in Thailand! It might be rainy season but it’s honestly still the temperature of the sun hahaha. But good thinking for temples! Be prepared to sweat!
Thailand is absolutely beautiful! my main advice though is please please do your research before going to any sort of elephant sanctuary, there are many disguised as ethical places when in fact the elephants are treated extremely poorly. As a general rule, anywhere that allows any sort of riding or bathing with the elephants is not somewhere that you want to support. Hope you have an amazing time💛
Please don’t go to any elephant sanctuary’s or have any elephant rides. Most come across as ethical when In fact the elephants are poorly treated and abused, that’s what I witnessed when I was there. Please be careful ❤️

don't fall for the tuk tuk scam in Bangkok!! tuk tuk drivers will offer you a REALLY cheap tour around the city to see lots of different sights, but they will take you to several places along the way (tailors, gem shops) and pressure you to buy stuff, because the tuk tuk drivers get commission from it. also try the ham and cheese toasties from 7-11 :)

When you are in koh samui make sure you get the boat over to koh phang yang for a day trip it only takes 30mins and it's gorgeous over there

I had the typhoid and hep A jab before i went to mexico two weeks ago, the typhoid one hurts your arm so much!
