Same thing with Silver Spring Maryland, there's an affluent community of African Americans. As a Kenyan I loved interacting with them. And I stopped watching those fundraising shows especially on Sunday nights showing Africans with flies on their faces in a desperate state.

As an elder I am so confused about today's generation not knowing about AFRiCA🌍, I grew up in a time before the internet/social media, and knew about AFRICA, especially SOUTH AFRICA because we boycotted products so that we could free MANDELA, GHANA because of KWAME NKRUMAH, and Nigeria as well as other countries on the continent, However when I went to GHANA in 2003, I can agree that their image and thoughts of AMERICAN BLACK PEOPLE were from MOViES and TV.

Another great discussion. Kenganda, all the way up! 😎 I would gently push back to say that as a Black American, I’ve always many of us (not all) have always been proud to be of African descent. Because of American’s original sin, and the rejection by America despite our building this nation we have sought to connect ourselves to Blackness and this is often a Pan African world view. I’d say this is latest iteration.
I’m coping several copies of the brother’s book by the way to share with family and friends. Very interesting concept, well needed. Please keep us posted on the release date

Equally sad is how little effort is made learn more about each other - what with stupidity pushed by the huge western mass media. Succesful AAs should visit and discover Africa on their own initiatives. Why leave it to white people to tell them their ancestral lands?!

I gaven away ideas that are more than concrete and I have said them in secret at times.
I have many ideas and things I would like to Share but not on here nor on the phone.
Because like the host said “the thievery of intellectual property goes unnoticed and no seems to care.”
This makes men like me more different like a ninja but this helps nobody but ourselves.
But who cared when we got ripped off for our gifts sent from God? No one not enough your own care to know or fight.
I have been to every state in the United States of America.
And I would say people here are quick to switch on you for a dollar but Ik some that do good and others that are simple like sheep but there are only a few loins like me but we all together in our own right are kings.
Kings that don’t trust each other because of how the people treated them
“It’s very black men for himself” how and why have we forgotten our friends?
And the code we upheld was our “shields to protect each other’s property and to not steal from one another to help heal and grow one another till the least of, us should be called great”
There’s no honor here not until we help ourselves and help the ones that can help you the smartest of us are purposely brought down and stolen from and are muzzled and lied on
And the money goes to fools
it’s ideal if the smart person had the money but this isn’t the case and if he does come into some money why help
He had to fight his whole life when the wicked get things handed to them what’s stopping them from saying
“I am rich in my blood and the knowledge God has given me and transcend and disappear”
Nothing at all I feel like the people with the money the famous people should give up their money to the case as damage control for all the demon music they have been pushing out for all these years.
It’s one of the biggest reasons why we can’t raise look what they listen to it is demon time all the time and when they play a good tone it not for good.
So that’s a thing we just need the sheep and the good with the simple to stop endorsing, bad behavior, and start endorsing. Good behavior.
And don’t go back to the wicked and say king “change your ways. We may incentivize you to control this money,”
but I tell you the wicked know nothing.

Iam not mad that he is accomplishing his goals. My beef with all this panafricanism is too push alot of us out of the way. And control what we have fought and spilled blood on that land. I personally don't have issues with African American . I have issues with anyone bossing me around in the land I was born and raised in . If you had it tough what about me who has fought the Colonizers even to the present to allow you to sit on that land. Alot of Ugandan and African Americans ignore the local business men in Uganda. They never even try to learn the language or our history. That group has its own business activities in our local communities all the way into United States. I almost had a heat attack to see and listen stories of how Ugandan from as far as the western borders have succeeded and want desperately to work with other Ugandan or anyone else in between. One young lady from DRC never even finished primary school but is fluent in 7 language. Another Ugandan lives on the east coast of United States very wealth also looking for investment opportunities in Uganda.

The only reason Africans and other minorities can even come to the U.S. and not be tormented by White Supremacist groups like the KKK is because of our Civil Rights movement and all of the people (including our enslaved ancestors) who shed blood paving the way for all of us to have opportunities that weren't available before. There is a large population of Africans in America. They do very well. The men are kind, African Woman are not. This country educate them, mostly in the medical field, the men are very good doctors, nurses. But, I do not understand why they don't return home and make Africa better. They visit Africa, their home, but, they always return back to America. They have their kids here and America becomes their home. So....why would I want to make Africa my home, when Africans living here don't return to their land. America for AA, with all it's negatives, it's still the best place for me. There are African Americans in Atlanta that have seriously studied African history. I was an Africana Studies major at Hunter College CUNY tin New York City where I studied under John Henrik Clarke and many others. My major paper in 1973 was on TANU and Julius Nyerere from 1956-1964. After moving to Atlanta in 1984 to attend Emory Law School. I was also a jazz and modern dance concert producer and history lecturer. Starting in 2004 through 2022 I was a college professor who always taught African History. There are others doing this. At Hunter we had many African students who socialized and had class with African Americans. We did not have this any friction at Hunter. We had African, African Americans and Caribbean people. We had a now famous South African Duma Nduvu, who is director of the largest theater company in South Africa was the first Black Student President at Hunter, a school that in the seventies was over eighty percent White. It is amazing to me how man Black folks are ignorant of these connections. I took Swahilli in college from a Tanzanian and a Nigerian professor taught Yoruba. We keep on repeating our mistakes because we don’t study our own history. John Henrik Clarke was the most famous African historian in the United States. He brought Amílcar Cabral to our classroom to speak six months before the Portuguese murdered him. I worked on the liberation movements in Mozambique, Angola and Guinea Bassau during college and for the ANC and SWAPO afterwards even writing a legal paper for them during law school. There were many of us doing this. It is very frustrating to hearing you guys talking about the conflict between Africans and African Americans when you guys have not taken time to look for the other side. The level of ignorance is very frustrating.

Talking about the African American in the movies, are those brothers and sisters really that selfish, rude and more into guns and drugs?
We're of the same colour, I love watching their movies yet I fear those brothers. Their voices are always "high" in the movies.
I know it's acting which is more of like a prescription but I believe it shows a very different picture of who blacks are.
And then that issue of racism, eeeeeeh, bazungu act differently on the African land while interacting with the blacks here yet we hear that these two groups are always fighting.
In summary, why don't those who can try living in Africa? Why not start from zero if some African country policies allow you to whatever you want if it's not illegal?
I have a belief that some governments make it hard for American citizens (blacks) because of the gun and drug picture painted.
Relocate and create a "conduit" for your grandkids.
