I was privileged to grow up as a teen in the 80’s in Austin,Texas and able to see so many kick ass bands both punk and metal The Offenders were an incredibly intense live band that I seen on many occasions at Liberty Lunch, Raul’s or Continental Club. Great times to be a kid full of angst. Rip to those that have passed on.
The offenders w verbal abuse was my first ever show. At the original emos location, doesn't get much better than that for a kid who had just started getting into punk
This band and many others are exactly why music preservation is important. I'm only 27 so I missed out on a lot, but I think it's great people upload whole records like this, thank you man.
Very sorry to hear JJ Jacobson (Vocals) was found dead a few days ago. Unfortunately that's three of the members from this legendary band gone now. R.I.P. Mikey, Tony & JJ, gone but never forgotten as long as we have their great music.
i was so bummed to hear mikey passed. Such a great dude. Totally surprised me when i found out he got my bands logo tattooed on his neck. Crazy. I was stoked to be able to tell him how much DRI dealing with it had a massive impact on my life as a kid in the 80s. Such a great dude. Very sincere solid guy. He will be missed. In honor i got his name tattooed on me. R.I.P. Mikey Offender. Your pain is over now my friend.
that would be good ol Mikey Offender (Mikey Donaldson) RIP..he also played in early DRI,MDC,and Sister Double Happiness. He really was a shredding bassist.... long before the many who have followed since.
As unbelievable as it sounds , I'm 54 this year and "grew up" during this most interesting era and while I remember hearing the name , I've never listened to The Offenders until recently. It's odd that I was known as and considered myself well rounded when it came to punk . I had easily the most diverse collection in my area ( cuz I worked as a janitor and spent every possible cent on records I no longer have ! ) But as much as I tried I couldn't break from certain bands that really caught my attention and held it. ( bl'ast , social unrest , circle one etc) anyhow , I'm glad to still have the time to hear these classic bits of hardcore , long may they play for future generations , and especially for the future generations, because without this great DIY music as an influence , y'all are fucked. 🖕
Thank you for posting this. I had this album but lost it in time... How great was punk rock back then and how poppy ias it nowadays. Pure as it can be...
I'm high on mushrooms and just finished blacking out I can't drive my fuckkng vehicle and this comes on fucking saved me fucking saved me I don't need fuck all
This is good. In 1983, mom and dad were drunk, screaming and yelling at each other every night. Punk music was the only music that spoke the truth.
same here bro - i was 13 then

How is this 33 years old? All time favorite. A masterpiece!

速さに耳を奪われがちだが、その実 何度も鑑賞に耐えうる曲構成に脱帽❤
One of my favorite albums from the 80s. Unrivaled to this day.

80's Underground Punk & Thrash what happened? this wa d lind of ahead of its time withe whole crossover thing
stop fuckin commenting that on every fuckin the offenders song!!
I don't give this comment a like. It's sad to see that the life expectation of punks is so low.. My thoughts are with the people they left behind...
Rock n Roll is a dangerous biz
These guys possessed the kind of TALENT that was much more than the genre demanded. A+!
Naw, talent can do punk fine. It's a feeling. I'm glad when people like Offenders, Fear, No Means No, Propaghandi, Victims Family make music
one of the best hardcore punk bands ive ever heard... that power and that sound its so cool
ja zeker weten

Great album - love the bass sound on this.

Thanks for the background info. As a bass playing music nerd I really appreciate it!
I used to have a vinyl copy of this. I probably listened to it over 50 times. I even made a tape copy of it for my car. haha. thanks for uploading.

Did you ever listen to No Trend?
I’m 56 and first heard The Offenders in 1986 when Rabid Cat Records sent me their album Endless Struggle to review in my zine. I loved it!
@@ericks9979 I don't recall the name, but I'll check it out
it will take a lot more than music to unfuck the globalist generational situation

This band sounds like Rush mixed with Bad Brains. I love it.
I learned punk from these old texas bands . Relentless ! I play country
Wonder how I've never come across this band till about a year ago. I hate myself 7" is the one that stands out to me.

Good record for sure but 2 years later, they’d put out Endless Struggle and that was a masterpiece.
