For those still high on the kishore cool aid, this version is way better than kishore's. He couldn't even dream to add the nuances Hariharan added. Kishore's range was not as extensive as Hariharan's, only because kishore was not classically trained.

Why is this singer changing the sanctity of this beautiful song sung by our Nation’s legendary singer? Why can’t he make his own O Hansini and sing without hurting the sentiments of Kishoreda’s fans? Disgusting!!! These singers are trying to destroy originality of Indian music for their own vested interest at the cost of music lovers of old songs. In the long run, many great legends will be overshadowed by these copycats. I didn’t not expect this from Mr. Hariharan as I always respected him as a great ghazal singer. He has also learned to dance now to be in sync some others. I hope our legend Dr. K.J. Yesudas will not dance any time on any stage like Mr. Hariharan.
