Ms Candy Nianglunghoih, born humbly freebirth (ie born at home) in Mission Compound Lamka, Manipur, India. She is the 2nd child of (L) David K Hangzo and Rosy K Hangzo who are the children of (L) Rev H Nengzachin, the first Paite Bible translator and Sintung Bu author and (L) T Gougin Ex-Manipur Minister respectively. With the grace and honor of her renowned grandparents, her parents were exposed to education and eventually with the help of her father’s banking job, she grew up in several Indian cities where Guwahati became her longest base ever.
Being a career minded person, post her 12th grade, Candy Hohoih completed her BCom(Hons) graduation from Delhi University and then earned an MBA degree specialized in Fashion Retail Management from NIFT, Mumbai in 2008. She got placement job right after education and started growing since then. She has a total work experience of 14years in several head office of retail giant companies in Mumbai, India and Dubai, UAE. She began her work journey from a Planner to Senior Planner and eventually got promoted to managerial position within short span of time. Her last designation was as a Senior Merchandise Manager for an online retail company where she was one of the pioneers. All her life, she dedicated it for her family and work and was doing extremely well for herself. She even traveled to 20 countries including USA. But there was always something missing in her life- love, peace and joy, which money or success can never buy.
However, she met someone (which she says God sent) who’s changed everything in her life. She found love in Khumbiaklal Hauzel and got married to him while he was a SBTS(Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) student at that time. Her love for God and Khum made her leave her corporate lifestyle. She sold all that she had in Dubai and came to the USA and is now fully dedicated to ministry to support and help her husband. During her short stay in SBTS campus, she attended a semester with SWI (Seminary Wives Institute) classes and also volunteered at Southern Exchange during the period. Currently she is not working but helping her husband in his ministerial work across the state of Kentucky.
