We had the Ventura two weeks cruise to Canary Islands , Cadiz and Portugal a couple of months ago. Lovely ship and very busy time . The restaurants were always very busy.We enjoyed our cruise, but please check your card statements BEFORE you leave the ship, some entries were not authorised by us. Finally got refunded after 6 weeks .
This is great advice for anyone reading the comments, we didn't have this happen to us but I did see a few comments on some of the forums. Glad it got sorted out... eventually 😳🥰
We have just spent a lovely 10 days on Ventura. Our first cruise ever! It was a great experience, and it exceeded our expectations. We particularly liked the stern area of the ship. It suited our needs and enjoyed great views. They're spots on the ship to suit all needs. The entertainment was excellent and the food did not disappoint. Lots of staff who were friendly and helpful.
You must have been on the same cruise as us. The entertainment was excellent apart from one comedian. The food was good mainly. Will miss Leon's sense of humour!
@@rebeccajAs first timers we had nothing to compare it with.We enjoyed a lovely meal in Sindu on one evening. Our waiters were very helpful. One day we asked for chips and there after they brought us chips every day.
Great video. My first cruise was a 4 night cruise on ventura in 2022, and I loved the ship, especially the Tamarind Club. I'm sailing on her again in October for a week with some first-time cruiser friends, so I'm going to send them this video
Great review, thank you for taking time to put it together. We're on Ventura in November to Spain and Portugal - mainly to see in P and O can redeem themselves after an awful Christmas cruise on Iona last year. We've booked a suite which is below the pool deck, be interesting to see if we get woken up at 5am every morning to the horrid sound of scraping deckchairs which was the case on Iona. Hopefully it won't be too bad!
Hi Bec . Well you would of been boarding when we would of been disembarking the Ventura . We were going on a 10 night cruise to France Portugal and Spain . We were due to depart on Saturday September 9th. On the Thursday before I didn’t feel 100%. On the Friday I was packing and felt achy and fell asleep for 3 hrs . I thought I’d do s test and both my hubby and I tested positive for Covid . The lines came up as I was putting the sample in 😢. Hubby had no symptoms but def had them 2 days later. We were going with another couple so I had to tell them and we ended up staying home . I know P&O say not to come but also we couldn’t infect them and ruin their holiday . I didn’t feel like eating snd the the thought of travelling wasn’t good. I couldn’t believe it was the day before . I’ve been on the Ventura before on a short cruise like you with girlfriends but I’ve been on-the Azura which is the sister ship . I like the Tamarind club snd like sitting outside of it and people watching . That was a great review of the ship covered everything people need to see . Looking forward to the next one xxx
I bit confused what to do at the moment . If it had been in June we’d have time to still get a Summer cruise in . I like going to Bruges but they seem to be more going to just Amsterdam . I then think maybe some winter sun on a Canaries cruise in January . I’m looking and if anything catches my eye I’ll go for it . We’re only just starting the insurance claim as you’ve got to wait until your cruise would of finished to get a cancellation invoice which landed this morning . I sometimes think keep the money and treat ourselves to a Celebrity cruise next June . I’ve been on Celebrity before and they really are fab ships but I often scroll past as I’m like you I’d rather have a couple of cruises at a reasonable price than splash out on one . My friend has borrowed our cases for the next 2 weeks . I only unpacked mine last Monday 😂 strange hanging everything back up 🥲I’d of hated to of given it to anyone vulnerable snd there s often quite a few elderly on board so I think we made the right choice not to go . Xx

just spent 35 days on here it was like a feak show and a disability convention.some of the weirdest people you could ever encounter. The waiters command of English was abysmal The embarkation procedure was a nightmare.The entertainment was poor. Over zealous waiters taking food before you hav e finished
