    Hey Christo... on another channel something interesting. You mention swing weight into the heel of the front foot on the downswing. Well for Rory and other pros they showed that the pros actually had a "repositioning" of the front heel... a forward motion of the front heel... this brought the weight forward of course but it did something else too.... it somewhat "closed" (actually squared" the front foot instead of having it "open". As a young golfer I loved Nicklaus. His book "Golf My Way" talked about opening the front foot to make hip rotation and turn on the downswing easier. However, when I snap hooked my first hole drive into the woods yesterday ... drive started about 45 degrees left and then hooked another 30 yards into the trees... I thought to myself, would I have been able to pull that ball if my left foot wasn't open 45 degrees at address? If my front foot was facing perpendicular to the target line (ie. not open) would I have kept my clubface on the right path better? Your thoughts?

    Too me the v line of the golf clubs on the ground is for the hands, not the club head and I found this confusing at first. Also thanks for the clarification of the movement of the shoulders. With the shoulders moving as you described the hands seem to simply stay in front of the belt buckle. Also I noticed how the right hand, in a sense overtakes the left at the right moment in the swing. I love how taking the club back on the inside keeps you from swaying back and it's easy to get your back facing the target as it should be.

    why did you stop using the jumbomax grips?

      When I got my Taylor Made irons they had oversize grips already so I've just been lazy. I love my JumboMax grips on everything else.

      @@MiracleSwingExperiencethanks for the reply. I just put them on and had my first round with them. Irons were accurate but driver i have to be careful. I have trouble feeling the club head with it. Almost missed the ball on one hole lol

    Thx Christo, sometimes I still have slice using OTT, is there any checkpoint to prevent the slice?

      Make a deeper backswing and don’t open the shoulders right away on the downswing. Keep your back to the target for a moment!

    An old timer when I first started was always harping on “balance.” I take up a wide stance and stand a bit open to give myself more opportunity to place effective pressure on my right toes which gives more stability later in the downswing.
    Heel to heel - that is a good one, I’ll remember that.

  • @jeffg5989
    @jeffg5989 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The heel to heel works. Funny how I’ve never heard that before but watch the pros. Their weight is finishing on the left heel. Instructors love sucking your wallets dry by feeding you all kinds of BS to keep you frustrated and coming back for more. The old saying “the less you know the better I am” is still true today. Thanks Christo for sharing your valuable knowledge.

    Mo Norman always said the swing is lateral. Instructors have missed the boat. Glad to hear you are a believer of the lateral swing. Spinning out is for the birds!

      Well, I believe you need a blend of both. Moe didn't have the rotation of a Snead or Hogan, but he was probably straighter.

    You swing over the top but the club head still need to hit from inside the target line I guess
