Good morning Trina…this abstract (seems to me like a landscape) turned out well. But I must say that I was entranced by the first layer of colors…if you look back at the video what I see is a beautiful summer day in a landscape scene…the colors were so pretty and pulsed with light. That really inspired me…love those colors! Have a wonderful day and keep the wonderful videos coming! 😊
The combination of the resist technique, the Aquapasto, and the lines you put on at the very end….such nice visual texture!! Thank you as always for sharing!
@@MixedMediaArtByTrina No way! I think it’s in Goldilocks land - “just right!” But I mean, I guess we all doubt ourselves and maybe are our own worst critics. I’ve just recently subscribed to your channel and have sort of been alternating between watching the new ones you release, and going back and watching ones from farther back. And in all of them, I’m fascinated by how you choose which technique to do where. IMHO, from how your pieces turn out at the end, you have really good instinct when it comes to layering and combining techniques. By the end, I’m always like, “Wow, how did she know to do all that, and in that order? It looks so cool!”
I wasn’t sure about this at first, but when you added those dark lines & with the texture of that section with those thicker aquapasto marks, it looks really interesting & harmonious. Kind of like the earth was cut away & you can see the different strata of earth layers. I’d be tempted to add a tree with roots reaching down through the different layers & draw in some different sized rock & gravel layers. It kind of reminds me of Rebecca Vincent’s work a bit. Really liked it by the end & I had to laugh that every time you said “I think I might put a bit of this here” it’s exactly or very close to where I was pointing to. Great minds! 😁
I wasn’t sure about it either. Haha! 😂 It does look like the earth below the surface. Really enjoying using the Aquapasto with that pointed silicone tool. Indeed, great minds think alike. Thanks Allison! 😍
Hi Trina seems im first tonight UK time. This turned out really nice, and yes a little more abstract. Love that blue. Just to mention ive got an Artline calligraphy pen 4.0 wide, its pigment ink, water based, water resistant, to make lines across my landscapes. I kind of roll the tip across the paper, it makes great absract marks, good for rocks too. Also as well as the black lines like you make l use a Posca white pen for lines, thats fun. Thank you as always.....Alioban ❤
@@alisonlyons4691 hey Alison! I will definitely check out that pen. I have wanted to and more ink lines into my work but had not found one that I liked. I like the abstractness of this piece, however, I think I can push it farther. Thanks for watching late in the UK. 😍
Love this piece so much! Really love the contrast and repetition of the blues with the browns, and all the layers. It is great to just go in and play sometimes without too many expectations just to see what your creativity will come up with. This does feel much more abstract as well, compared to your other work. Similar but different also. 🤩😍🤩

You have a wonderful sense of composition, and choice of color, and your texture and line techniques are inspiring. New ideas to play with. Thank you!

I love it! All the resist lines, pencil and silicone tool lines are so interesting. Plus, I really like the blues and browns together.
Thank you! It’s definitely an earthy palette but I like it. 😍

I absolutely love this! It makes me think of a quilt or when you are viewing farmland from an airplane. Very nice.
Ooh I love that! Perfect description. Thanks for watching! 😍
