Why Howard is keeping something that is allergic for him?
Earlier Howard made like he ate the granola bar so that Leonard could take him to the hospital giving the gang time to plan the surprise birthday party but because of Sheldon unable to decide which gift to buy Leonard and temporarily working in the store assisting other customers Penny called Howard to say they need more time to stall Leonard hence why Howard decided to actually eat the granola bar.

‘Is’ would be used in a singular situation. ‘Are’ is used in plural. Penny was referring to multiple friends, therefore, are would be the correct verb.
@@anjelica948 "of my friends" is a prepositional phrase. The subject of the sentence is "which" One is understood in this situation. Therefore a singular predicate is proper. "Which one IS" is correct. Sixth grade grammar.
@@mildredsrecipes3543 Context clues are a thing. But look at the context of Penny’s statement. Penny said “which of my friends ARE easy” and then goes on to describe three different friends. That’s plural. It also implies that there would be more of Penny’s friends at the party that are not easy.
Regardless, "which' is the subject, "is" the predicate. "Friends" is an object. Rules is rules.
