Is Harley Benton the guitar equivalent of Packard Bell? (if you remember those beasts!) How would you compare this to a Vintage brand bass? I was looking for a bargain bass, but decided that since i was only going to have one, i might as well spend the money and get something i would be truly happy with. Picked up a new Fender Aerodyne J Bass for $899 US and am pleased to no end. Thanks for the tip on the truss adjustment!
The Harley Benton is a very playable bass once it is set up and a real bargain at the price. I have yet to play a vintage brand bass but generally the range are good value. Your logic is entirely understandable and a well set up fender is a good choice. It's likely to be a wise long term source of pleasure and a good investment. Thanks for taking time to get in touch. Best wishes Michael
More digression! They're good bases
