Edsson L. Our class watched a film in class as we had finished our last topic of the subject and it was getting close to the end of school, Year 10 in Australia.
I know your account is probably inactive since you posted that comment 13 years ago but man I really hope to see this in the movie theaters again sometime.
Also, wanted to mention one thing - The Social Network, is by far the one and only movie right now that got the club environment right to a tee. You don't speak in normal voice when you're in there, you scream over music. You know they got it right when you hear the music more than you hear them. This is why I love Fincher, for this detail orientedness
13 years later and this is still true. The sound mixing was brilliant to capture this music AND keep the dialogue clear so you can understand what they're talking about.
The energy of this song combined with the intense dialogue of the movie gave me chills, it was amazing. I've seen the movie twice in theaters and I still feel I ripped off the theaters by only paying $10 to see this movie
The second it hit the club scene, the whole atmosphere went to an incredible energy! The bass in the theater was phenomenal! Everything about that scene was brilliant. The music was invigorating, the shots were beautiful, timberlake's dialogue was captivating, and the victoria's secret model was just plain sexy.
@@Collopy I like the Cassius version & the remixes, but that's not true. They used the version by Dennis in the movie. It's not only unmistakable to the ear (watch the scene and then listen to each version), but this version is also listed on IMDB & Wikipedia.
I’ll never forget being in the Hamptons in 2010ish w/ about 10 of my friends.. We were watching this movie on surround sound in my friends basement.. His Father was sleeping upstairs & asked us to keep it down cause he had work the next morning.. The club scene came on & the walls in the house literally started shaking! 😂 My friend tumbled off the couch & crawled to unplug the speakers cause he couldn’t get to his feet fast enough 😂😂 I was crying!
Incredible. My new favorite. Thumbs up if this was the best scene in the movie. Here are some other powerful tracks you probably already know: Above & Beyond - Air for Life (Original Mix) BT - Godspeed Chicane - Halcyon Deadmau5 - Arguru Mike Koglin - Enjoy the Silence (Sasha & Digweed remix) Jody Wisternoff - Lassoo Oceanlab - Lonely Girl (Gareth Emery Remix) Paul van Dyk - For an Angel (2009 mix) Blank & Jones - Cream
My "im single and im gonna prove her wrong" motivational song. lol Do you still think about her? Who? that girl *surrounded by Victoria secret modeled* No! Best part ever!!!!!!!!
I've loved trance for so long, but I specifically love trance that breaks into the type of sound that starts @ 4:10, right before the drop. Can anyone help me find more music that has such an uplifting, mind opening, vibrant sound? I'm specifically looking for songs that have that 4:10 - 4:40 sound! Thank you, you will make my life
Visual There are a few Autechre tracks that should do the trick. One example will be "Draun Quarter" from Envane. As far as that "enlightened feeling", I can hear it in The Future Sound of London's "Yage".
Remember playing this at a festival, as a german tv team walked in and filmed me performing and used the track in their clip on Pro7 :) Topic... Drugs on festivals :)))))
Recalled seeing Social Network in theaters back in seventh grade. When the NYC timelapse scene occurred and transitioned to the club, I was hooked by tune. Plus, I couldn't be able to hear what the two were talking about when they were in that moment - when seeing this in theaters. Then again, one of the best moments in the entire film .
when this song started in the movie without exchanging any words me and my friend immediately started dancing in our seats, anybody else have the music take you over and disregard the people around you
We were watching this movie on surround sound in my friends basement in like 2010.. His Father was sleeping upstairs.. This scene came on & the walls in the house literally started shaking!
As a social media marketing agency, we LOVED The Social Network, and this song during the club scene is our favorite!!! Glad I found it so we can crank it in the office!!
I’ve always loved how this song consists of more or less generic house droning for 4 minutes straight, has one of the greatest most euphoric edm drops you’ve ever heard, and then goes back to droning for another couple minutes
Saw The Social Network back in 2010 at the movies; saw just today 3/11/14 once again on Netflix and via SoundHound app on my Galaxy S4, I was able to id this EPIC tune and got me here!
... A Stanford MBA named Roy Raymond wants to buy his wife some lingerie but he's too embarrassed to shop for it at a department store. He comes up with an idea for a high end place that doesn't make you feel like a pervert. He gets a $40,000 bank loan, borrows another $40,000 from his in-laws, opens a store, and calls it Victoria's Secret. Makes a half million dollars his first year. He starts a catalog, opens three more stores and after five years he sells the company to Leslie Wexner and the Limited for four million dollars. Happy ending, right? Except two years later, the company's worth 500 million dollars and Roy Raymond jumps off the Golden Gate Bridge. Poor guy just wanted to buy his wife a pair of thigh-highs.
I've watched it many times, honestly more than 50 times. I was actually imitating what Mark said, "Was that a parable ?". You were suppose to imitate Sean Parker and say, "My date's a Victoria's Secret mode, that's why she looks familiar to you" A great and inspiring movie. :)
This song made the “Social Network” Club Scene one of the greatest scenes ever..
This is why i'm here
Exactly.
Just watched it. Amazing song. I thought it was a remix cause I knew the song.
YES!
I only know this song because of the movie!🤦🏻♂️ still worth it
"Don't be impressed by all this."
Greatest line in the entire film.
More like "a billion, dollars".
GC that is so true
Glad someone agrees.
“Do you ever think of her??”
“NO.”
I.. I was looking at the architecture..
The water under the Golden Gate Bridge is freezing cold.
Leandro Conte was that a parable?
HerbFlowers My date is a Victoria's Secret model, that's why is so familiar to you.
Leandro Conte "No, its NOT ok!" lol
Que cena!
Leandro Conte Don`t be impressed by all this. I read your blog.
found this on the 'social network' bless shazam

Jai Golchha SHAZAM is legit a killer app. They could do with direct TH-cam integration though instead of just using rdio...
I work at a cinema and you can always tell when this scene's playing as the whole building shakes :D

2020 and this still bangs. Love to hear it at a festival!

Dennis De Laat must be soooooo grateful they played his song in the club scene lol

The electronic music is a WHOLE universe, so many styles, so many sub-genres, I lovee it!
Such a classic song omg.
When this song was played during the first camera sweep over the club, the bass was insane! Good movie :)
This was epic in The Social Network, so freakin carried away!!
The synths sound somehow like PRYDA. Great track !
playing this song on repeat until the end of the world!
San Francisco time-lapse... hell yeah !
This song is just amazing!!! I wish i have been there, in that club in The Social Network!
We probably were but we were partying too hard to see a billion dollar deal go down…. Like the sun goes down!
i want more like this type of music!

I guess you could listen to Progressive House, just search up "Taking you Higher", they are 2 hour mixes, most of those songs have similar synths

When i come to my see house, isolated from all the other houses on the coast, I blast this song on full bass and enjoy life by myself! =D
I just managed to catch this at the beginning of Nikita. There was just enough time to Shazam it before the actors spoke. The energy is real. Love it!

I need more songs like this please anyone have other songs that have this type of beat and trance/club feel or is this just one of a kind.
Put this toward a subwoofer or speakers with great bass. I swear you won't regret it.
This track is so much more than a song in a movie, absolute face melter and some small dj soon will use it in their set to become famous
Heard this high as hell driving on the highway with suspend animation.
