    it just clicked to me after 26 years of consuming this guys art and finally looking into airbrushing and how he does it that he relied heavily on stencils haha! im ordering my first iwata neo kit for myself for xmas. I should start making my stencils now lol

    H.R. Giger created the works in his art book "N.Y City" from his experiences visiting the city. The book was released in 1981 so the pieces would have been done sometime before that, I assume a few years prior through to 1981 is when he made the pieces. There is so much mechanical looking stencil work in the book for those curious. Great job on the recreation, goes to show how much work and craft is in their art. Cheers!

    Absolutely mind blowing.
    You must have endless patience.
    Was the original done with stencils too?
    I once saw airbrush work, glass shelves with all different things on them. Plastic, metal etc etc. with their textures, reflections......all freehand NO masking.
    Unbelievable, then I saw your labour of love.......another artist who excels in their skills. Incredible painting !!!! 👍

    • @monniebrentart8842
      @monniebrentart8842  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Giger did alot of free hand and im sure over the years he might have had his own collection of stencils....but he was a master at making layers and layers....I can't even imagine how long it took him...but my favorite part in any art piece is the work...patience comes from enjoying every second of it... thank you so much for watching....

    awesome work. What material do you make your stencils out of? And do you use a plotter or do you cut them by hand? Just curious. You should be proud, you put a lot of work in these projects. This has always been one of my favorites of Giger's. I can't imagine what the world was like before it was blessed with the creative and intrepid Giger. So much has been inspired by his body of work.
