He didn't say sleep by 9pm (that is not realistic for us and he said maybe try it once), he said by 10/10:30 is preferred. However, it depends on the individual at the end of the day. Some people can sleep later yet get up early. Like many people sleep at 12 midnight then get up 7am no problem which sheikh acknowledges. The main thing is getting at least 7 hour of sleep consistently when you sleep whether its 10pm, 11pm or 12pm doesnt matter really, 7-8 hours is what most doctors advise for prolonged health benefits.
Over here in London, Isha Adhan time exceeds 9PM at the beginning of April, reaches 10PM around mid-May, peaks at 10:45PM in June, then progressively goes back down to 10PM by mid-July and 9PM at the end of August. That's 5 months per year where the sleep time rule is harder to implement.

It's true though. Most People these days sleep very late. If someone wants to sleep early it's very tough because rest of their friends/family are awake and doing all the fun stuff (or shaytan makes us think it is) that's definitely pulling a good person's nafs lol
@@ashramhalireen2483 its totally fine to sometimes sleep late to enjoy yourself/hobby or chill out with family, if you don't do haram no problem. Some people even do their studying or good deeds at late night, which is even more respectable. This is part of life, we cant be too strict with this. Also, some people come late from work and need that extra time to unwind .Plus many people especially young adults can definitely handle late nights like past 12 midnight and wake up 7am pretty easily. Even this sheikh and most doctors know this its basic common knowledge, because humans are adaptable. For kids better to sleep by 10ish and if your old age because you probably need more sleep.
