Adjusting Feed Dogs for Perfect Stitches

In this video, we’ll show you how to adjust the feed dogs on your industrial sewing machine. Think of it as precision figure skating for flawless stitches.
Safety First: Turn off and unplug your machine before making adjustments-just like a skater checks their gear before hitting the ice.
Locating the Mechanism: Tilt your machine to find the feed dog adjustment area. It’s like finding the perfect spot on the ice.
Height Adjustment: Use a screwdriver to raise or lower the feed dog. Aim for a slight clearance above the throat plate-like adjusting skates for the perfect glide.
Position Fine-Tuning: Different fabrics need different settings. Adjust the feed dog position so it doesn’t touch the needle plate. Tighten the screws securely.
Test and Perfect: Stitch on scrap fabric to ensure smooth movement. Practice makes perfect, just like in figure skating!
