Additionally, this design accounts for potential obstructions caused by case walls or the lack of proper standoffs. Thanks for sharing your insights!

The HP EliteDesk 800 G3 uses a PWM fan header for both the CPU fan and case fan. If you’d like to install one or two additional fans, please consider using a PWM fan splitter cable and connecting it to the case fan header or CPU fan header. If you plan to add many fans, I recommend using a PWM fan hub that utilizes a SATA or Molex power cable. This way, the fan hub can supply enough power for multiple fans. Thank you!

I think that the RTX 4060 (128-bit, 115W) is more efficient than the RTX 2060 (192-bit, 160W). So, if your system runs well with the RTX 2060, it should perform even better with the RTX 4060. Thank you
The CPU cooler’s screws are designed to fit its CPU mounting backplate that comes with the cooler. However, the screws included in the CPU cooler box don’t always perfectly match the mounting holes on the OEM PC case. The compatibility depends on the specific cooler you’ve selected.
Installing an RTX 3070 Ti on a 230W PSU (power supply unit) isn’t recommended. Even the standard RTX 3070 Ti alone consumes around 290W. So, if you’re eyeing that beefy graphics card, consider upgrading your PSU to handle the extra power demands. Safety first, right?
Absolutely! The system, with an i7-7700K and an RTX 2070, should handle 1080p gaming and streaming quite well. The i7-7700K is a capable CPU, and the RTX 2070 provides excellent graphics performance. Just make sure the PC have enough RAM (16GB or more) and a stable internet connection for smooth streaming. Happy gaming!

If you’re considering upgrading to an Intel Core i7 7th generation CPU, here’s the scoop: The i7-7700K is an unlocked processor with a 91W TDP (thermal design power), which means it requires a larger CPU cooler and more space. However, if you’d like a smoother transition without changing your existing cooler, I recommend opting for the Intel Core i7-7700 (the non-K edition). This CPU has a lower TDP of 65W and should work seamlessly with your current cooler. Thanks for tuning in!
In fact, OEM power supplies on Amazon can be quite expensive, but we can find more affordable PSUs on Alibaba or Taobao. There is a link for a PSU on Amazon: amzn.to/4cNslTt.
I’ve also updated the link to the item I used in this video in the video description. If you’d like to search for the HP 500W PSU mentioned in this video on any other store, such as eBay or AliExpress, use the keyword: DPS-500AB-32A. Thank you!
No, you cannot use any PSU other than the one from HP. As you can see, the PSU is completely different. It has a different size, screw holes, and cable connectors.
Swapping out the HP ProDesk case is such an interesting idea. However, I find it a bit challenging because there’s currently no 24-pin cable adapter that works seamlessly with HP ProDesk motherboards. Additionally, the I/O shield is non-removable. So, if we decide to proceed with the case swap, we’ll need to stick with the original power supply and get creative by crafting our own motherboard I/O shield.
I perused the HP forum at this link: h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Wanting-to-upgrade-a-ProDesk-600-G3-MT/td-p/8625562/page/2 . There, a user had uploaded pictures of the HP ProDesk 600 G3 power supply and motherboard. Interestingly, it appeared to be the same PSU (power supply unit) that I used in my video. However, since I haven’t personally laid hands on the HP ProDesk 600 G3, I cannot definitively confirm whether the PSU model I featured in my video would work seamlessly with your specific HP ProDesk 600 G3. Thank you for your understanding.
