I own one of those tackle boxes. The one with the extra bottom. Perfect condition still. I don’t take out ever. It’s just too nice. I love these videos!
I’m liking the detailed BPS catalog walk throughs. Please keep them coming! You’ve got some impressive examples of era lures in their packaging in fantastic condition. Nice baseball cards too. I agree on the music in that era too. Great tunes. In the early 90’s I used to cruise in my 68 Firebird playing (among other things) that Van Halen debut album on my Apline cassette deck. Still have the cassette. Wish I still had the ‘Bird.
Every time I watch one of your videos it kind of hurts me a bit. I had boxes full of all of my Bass Pro Catalogs and Bass Master Magazines that I had to throw away because they got water damaged in storage. I also had to leave a few boxes behind one time when I moved due to the fact that I ran out of room on the moving truck. I didn't start collecting / saving them until about 1981, but they were great to have... until I didn't. Thanks for sharing! They always bring back some very good memories.
Great video. The artwork on those Quick reel pages is awesome - beautiful. Love the UMCO tackle boxes too. And Virgil Ward?! So cool, especially given my BFA repost on Virgil yesterday. Beautiful catalog.
Another great video Mike! I have a Lews BB2N I purchased new in 87 along with a St Croix premiere graphite rod for $120.00 big ones. It was my musky bucktail rod. Still got it! Also love the George Brett card. Suddenly I have a hankering for some Red Man 😁. On another note, I gotta say I kinda miss the Chuck Mangione at the intro. 😞 Just sayin 🙂
Your production value and video skills as a host are awesome, cant wait to see your channel grow!

Never too late to start the collection again!!

Thanks man! I was making the video as I saw your post on Virgil Ward. Agreed, the early Bass Catalogs are a work of art.
I’m still using three early 1980s version of the lews bb1ng baitcasting reels for crankbait fishing. Keep them maintained and they will last forever!

Haha! Thank you. I miss the
Mangione too. I just don’t have the copyright to it. I’ll work on getting another 70s inspired intro!
No worries, Chuck and I are tight. I’ll give him a call.😝
