    FYI, A cubic foot of water weighs about 62.3 pounds when the water’s temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit. A cubic foot of sand weighs between 90-130 lbs, depending how dry it is. Wet sand is heavier.

      It doesn’t get freezing in my garage so it’s never been and issue. If we do use it in freezing weather it’s only for like an hour or 2 so not long enough to be an issue. Put a thermometer where you plan to keep it. If it does drop to freezing use sand or empty the water.

    • @mikethames3072
      @mikethames3072  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback.
      When you move the bag, always roll to the right! If you roll to the left, you're very likely to unscrew the bag. to answer your question, it's fairly easy to remove the bag from the base. The bag its self is quite lite.
      When you tighten the bag back in the base, it gets tighter and then stops. Push past the stop and it breaks free again. If you don't tighten it really well, it can start to unscrew when working on it. I'd suggest getting a second person to help tighten really well to keep it from unscrewing.
      Hope that answers your questions.

    • @mikethames3072
      @mikethames3072  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't used the Century VS 1 but I think the main difference is XXL is made for Stand up and the Century could be used from some ground and pound exercises. You can supplement various things like Kick Shields for ground and pound but you can't really supplement a stand-up bag. Take this with a grain of salf but I dont think the century would be good for stand up. Especially if you're working on speed due to it being knocked around. Hope this helps at least think about something a little more before making a decision. I don't know that you could make a wrong decision. In a perfect world, you'd probably get both. the question might be, which one do you want to start with.

      @sherifmaghraby8842 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had the vs1 and I didn’t like how “bouncy” it was. Couldn’t line up fast combinations because the bag would move away at the first strike. Same with kicks, couldn’t take even minimal amount of power without being flung side to side. Wouldn’t recommend vs1 for a serious fighter (mma).

    • @mikethames3072
      @mikethames3072  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know. Looks like the T2 might have a narrow base and bring a little of the weight up higher. This seems like it'd bring the center of gravity up and make the bag more likely to tip over. The base is also slightly lighter when filled. 250lbs compared to the XXL of 270. IN actuality though, it could perform quite well. Not sure why century would have two bags that would compete with each other so I wonder if they say which each is best for.

Me personally I came to the conclusion that if I was getting a freestanding, I was gonna fill it with sand and be done with it. I ended it up getting a hanging bag. but I have a BOB and realized something, if you get the wave master, fill it with water, and get at least 4 60pound sand bags and line them up on the back of it, you get cool recoil and it won't move as much. You'll still adjust it, but it just feels so right. CHeers.

    • @mikethames3072
      @mikethames3072  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I don't think so. The bag consists of 3 parts. The base, a donut below the base and the bag with a threaded bottom. You put the donut under the base, and drop the threaded part on the bag, through the donut. What happens, is you have to hold the base by standing on it and spin the bag. It gets tighter and tighter until it slips. It's like it's slipping past a lock that keeps it from unscrewing. Once it goes past that locking point, it sort of gets loose again. I can try to see if i can get another turn out of it but I doubt it. It has gotten a little loser over time but it doesn't bother me. I mean, a hanging bag moves as much as this so...
      I'll post back and let you know.

      Binary Ninja's POV yes. I do recommend it. I think it’s about the best for the money that I’ve seen so I agree with you. Sand seems to make it more stable.

    Thanks for the info, you've most definitely saved me a lot of money. Also I don't know who needs this, but I'd like to bless anyone since you've blessed me, Jesus christ loves you and gave his life on the cross so we could live and have a relationship with god. All we have to do is recognize our sins and ask for forgiveness and believe in jesus christ his son.

    These reviews are trash. PUNCH AND KICK the bag. Why are all you guys talking instead of DEMONSTRATING how the bag takes kicks???? This is mad frustrating
