Forecast: Major winter storm brings severe cold to U.S., causing travel 'nightmare before Christmas'

- A major "once in a generation" winter storm that is slamming the U.S. with bitterly cold temperatures is expected to bring Central Florida the chilliest Christmas in more than thirty years.
Freeze warnings and watches have been issued across most of the state as temperatures are forecast to drop into the 20s and 30s - with wind chills in the teens in some areas.

Just do a little research on the Cambrian Explosion and temperatures and CO2 levels associated with the Period of arguably the greatest explosion of biological life on the planet. Plenty of other climate change events that demonstrate the same. Even the much lower global temps of the last glacial period did not wipe out 95% of life on earth. Didn't even wipe out us humans. Sadly, the climate continues to change regardless of anything we do. Much change is ahead of us. Hope we adapt cause a changing climate is not going away.
I went outside for emergency purposes at 1.30 pm. i needed to go two blocks but after going to one block, I had to make a u turn. I could not even see anything. The skin of my face was exposed and started burning then i ran back one block to my house. This is the situation of Buffalo NY, Stay home .

I live in Spokane, Washington and at the time that this report was posted it says 26° when in reality it is 6° with sub-zero temperatures all week. I know this because I live here and I do own a thermometer that matches the same temperature with my Android phone.

This is actually about how bad things are getting. These temperatures are not normal. It's not normal for temperatures to drop that low and rise that quickly. "global warming" isn't all about the heat. It can be about the cold too. This is only the beginning. It's going to get worse. These temperature drops and rises are out of control.

It was so cold here in Upstate South Carolina, I had to turn my AC unit on, not a joke. Tenants below me jacked up the heat. It was 78F in my apartment, 16F outside. Heat rises.
I get free heat in the winter, basically I run the AC 365 days of the year.
It's that darn global warming. Experts say, that even though wind chills are anywhere from 40 to 60 below zero, it just proves the planet is heating up.Makes sense to me. If I buy a can of blue paint, I usually end up with a beautiful room with walls covered in satin orange.

We are doing high winds and two nights of 1 degree and negatives . Feels pretty bad espec. If your house is decaying . As long as electric is staying on we will survive.
If you can afford to run a kerosene heater outside by your orange trees grapefruit trees banana trees avocado trees in Florida I would do so I ran into a situation like that myself and that's exactly what I did and it saved every tree and all my plans I brought inside or the ones I couldn't I covered them with plastic like my crotons and other tropical Florida plants
I just hope there won't be any hurricanes or high wind/snow storms around the final two weeks of February and the first 2 weeks of March because I got a flight to Walt Disney World to catch and it could be the last time I'd go there.

Knowing that wind chill in Chicago when that wind Cuts between those buildings it will blow you down on your butt and across the road to the next sidewalk and then some it gets cold in Chicago the windy city I live there when I was younger and when I had the chance to move to a warmer climate I jumped on that chance and never regretted it.
