Hi Simon! That silver coin came out of the ground looking so shiny, nice find! Good thing you persevered after all of the trash! And then the union jack and those little "mushrooms" , that was a pretty good day!
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes , eventually luck changed for good after chasing it 🤪😅 yes I loved that little flag too. Thank you and see you in the next one! 🍀
That would be cool, but I think was an electrical artifact connected with cables in both sides. For some reason the electricity expanded the bulb. Thank you and see you for the next one!
Hi Simon, that particular sloping field produced lots of lead seals, silver coins and buttons for the Dundee Metal Detecting Club in the 1990s when it was myself that was the clubs sites in officer and had got the permission back then by the farmers father - and the hill field next door to it where you are produced a Medieval Seal Ring for me that I gave to the farmers wife back in the 1990's as she worked in the Town Museum at the time - the ring being copper alloy was thought to have been lost by a Monk
Thank you David! Nice one, yes but I wasn’t detecting in that sloping field eventually , no many signals there… but I am moving in between different permissions and locations . All the best!
The small KG on the sixpence shows the name of the designer, in this case George Krueger-Gray, who designed coins and stained glass. Good job if you can get it.

Epic 😎
Fantastic! Thank you!!
Another wonderful adventure, Simon, and a beautiful silver coin. Maybe that little bulb had a pin attached for winding a pocket watch?
That would be cool, but I think was an electrical artifact connected with cables in both sides. For some reason the electricity expanded the bulb. Thank you and see you for the next one!
Nice hair today Simon! 😊
Good finds today, as always..
Cheers brother!
Hugs from mediteranean!
Thanks again! Yes, hair has to keep going until Christmas 😅 a big hug to both of you!
Nice finds Simon. That GeoVI 6d is 50% silver!! Cheers, John.
Thank you John, yes I guess that would be with percentage of silver. I think from 1920-30s the percentage of silver started to decrease in coins
Great finds Simon, your little mushrooms may be studs they used for Medival door, Wooden chest etc
Thank you Ian ! Yes I think so , I found even a third little mushroom in my last dig so definitely I think is a type of nail or stud
Nice silver m8
Thank you Paul!

Some lovely finds there mi Amigo. We are digging up in Largo Ward this Sunday if you fancy it you are most welcome
Hi James! Fantastic! Thank you, oh I wish but I can’t again this Sunday. Hope for the next one. All the best and good luck in your search amigo!🍀👍
@thespanishdetectorist cheers Simon you are the MAN
Simon, that small lead bottle thing looks like a lead crimp off an accelerator cable. Keep up the good work, watching from south africa 🇿🇦 .
Thank you Jason, good to know it and having that clarification ! All the best
Preciosa moneda.

That’s great. Good point and nice job from George Krueger-Gray . Thank you!
Nice info :)
Your two "shrooms" could be clench/clinch nails.
Yes I think so, unfortunately….I found even a third one in my last dig. Can’t be possible having a collection of medieval fasteners and such luck 🤪
