Dinaric Rally Croatia 2022 Stage 1

During my travels I decided very last minute to register for the Dinaric Rally 2022 in Croatia. Having never used a roadbook before I opted for the DARE! category (GPS navigation).
This is some footage from Stage 1 which was very fast and sooooo much fun.

Hello. Can you tell me, what tires did you use? Tubes, tubeless or mousses? I want to go there on my 890R, i think about Mitas Enduro Trail XT in rear, and Terraforce Mx MH in front. Amazing views and terrain - dream :)

Hello! sorry for the delay. I went for the Mitas E09 Dakar or Rally spec ones. I was running the stock wheels so tubeless. The rear got chewed up pretty badly very quickly (its hard not to spin it up with these ktms as i'm sure you'll agree) but held pressure the whole time and throughout the rest of my travels. The front did blow out on me on the side wall on day 3, i heroically (stupidly) continued for 250km with the blown front, the wheel was pretty bad at the end. To continue i bought the strongest mousse from one of the support vans and slapped on a random front tyre that had been discarded by one of the top teams. I was limited by the size of my wheels. Definitely take a spare rear tyre. You'll have an awesome time and will really appreciate how epic these bikes are given the opportunity. Just make sure your forks are as low down in the triple clamps as possible. :D
