After trying Core stage, it more or less the same as each area last stage. The only different is the boss spawn at round 9 and round 10 is just how much enemy that you can kill. The higher your kill count, the higer the score. But, to get maxed out emblem, you just need to reach round 10 and just get 2500+ score. You can use each area last stage strategy for it.
