Koishie, berigoo! This song has been requested a lot by you friends! So happy to finally deliver it to you! Koishi's theme is such an eerie special song. It's very similar to Clownpiece's Theme or Heian Alien, with its strong dissonances and chaotic feel. I really wanted to bring that forward by adding choir and full orchestra to support the guitars. This is my first time writing huge vocal parts like this, I hope you like it! I'm slowly mastering my music making to reach the quality I've always loved and each new cover makes it a step closer. I hope you like my take on this absolute Touhou banger! Let me know what you think!

this is one of my most favorite songs in the history of videogames OF ALL TIME. why? it's amazing how ZUN composed this song with the characteristics of Koishi and her spellcards. it's weird, it's scary and just completely in character for her. and the best part are the key changes and weird time signatures. it really makes you feel like your mind is getting messed with by Koishi, a youkai of the subconscious.
the first part makes you feel like you just met her, and she's introducing herself in an... unsettling way, while you still wanna know her. the second part is her telling you about a fishing ro- her cat Orin and why she can turn into a girl lmao. the the middle part is her just completely messing with you and and you realized that you don't recognize her face anymore, kinda like she made you forget but not really. then the 4th part with the soft piano is her ranting about how she closed her third eye, and that people would judge her. next part is her telling you that everything is fine now, but she wants to go home because her sister is looking for her. last part is you slowly forgetting about her until she meets you again.
ZUN's writing is next level. Koishi's theme is so unique I don't think many other 2hu songs compare

I absolutely love the choir usage in this, it elevates the music into a whole new level of epicness!
I honestly find that it's impossible to decide on my favourite touhou track when every track is such a banger, and you always do such a good job with them! Side note, have you ever heard some of monster hunter's battle tracks? those could be quite fun~ Anyway, thank you again for an absolute slapper of a track!

I ended up watching the latest stream after you said that and I gotta say all this drum stuff goes over my head, I can't tell what makes it sound good but I know in the end it does sound good so yeah!
