Excellent breakdown and mustache there Trail. I was going to head out to Wyoming for rifle deer 🦌 and pronghorn this year, but with the horrible winter kill and the fact that my wife and I are trying to get a house 🏡 and out of this small two bedroom apartment so what I was saving for the potential hunt I will be using for that. Hopefully 🙏 next year (I say that every year since 2019) I will get to finally get to go out west on my first big game hunt where I have a tag 🏷️ and be able to write an article about the adventure.
What about the youth? Do they have a special allocation in WY or just competing with adults in the same draw? My son has currently 1 point as a youth nonresident, is it even worth applying or just putting in for a point?
Hey I just saw that in Wyoming is you are not a non resident you have to have a licensed guide to hunt federal designated areas. Dose anyone know anything about that?
Yes. Designated Wilderness areas are a no go for nonresidents but if you look many units with wilderness areas in them still off plenty of fridge land around them to hunt. You can hunt wilderness if accompanied by a guide or a resident. That’s my understanding from what I have read anyway.

Up to a 90% winter kill for antelope and 65% for mule deer in many parts of the state. This isn't the year for Wyoming.
More like how you should NOT hunt Wyoming this year, the western and southern portions have been completely devastated this past winter.
With the winterkill I feel like we shouldn't hunt this year. Those populations have been hit hard enough
Thank you Trail for the great information
God's Blessings

Is there a video for California?
I’d like to know as well. I have a friend with some acres that holds elk out there but have no clue if their is a non resident point system there
CA has a point system. Deer and bear have OTC. Forget the rest.

Those regulations shouldnt even be legal for the state to enforce.@elkmountain9053
Thanx
Seriously? This year with the winter kill, just stay home
