This movie really brings back all my little memories when I was still a little kid watching. Lol. I was thought that Nuj Nplhaib was the hmong phaj ej that I liked back then. Haha. Thanks for uploading!
When I was little, this was just another weird hmong movie. But now that I am grown up... I realize that this is probably one of the most well done (with the capabilities at the time) Hmong movies ever made. They mentioned the important factors of the story, ( how he made his own sword, met up with Ntxawm on the 13th day, etc.)...
13th day?! Didnt u hear what his mom said while he was on his journey? "Wb tus me tub ploj tau ob peb lub xyoo (2-3 years) no lawm, ntshe nws twb mus ua tsov qub tsov quav lawm."
The 13th day is when ntxawm told him at her graveyard to take her at that place on the mountain. Which he did, but he failed to because he made a mistake by not taking his dad advice of staying uphill or on top of trees when he left town. So he got spell to sleep by the ghost and thanks to the eggs he left at the tree stomp (Why? so that it distract them to not spell ntxawm to not go to nuj nplhaib or hurt him).Which help ntxawm to try to wake him up, of course hes not waking up. Thats why when he woke up he got leaves covering him. This is why it takes 2-3yrs because of this and decided to follow and track the tigers.

Such well made movie!!!! The lines are so poetic and deep and makes much more sense watching as an adult compared to when I was a kid.
