Clint Mansell is an amazing modern composer of this century to be recognized for what he invokes on human emotion through his music, the depth and originality is absolutely out of this world.

The first time I saw the film I never thought for a second that the score was performed live, with actual strings. I thought for sure it was all electronic. It’s so relentless, just like the film...

Clint Mansell makes a lot of movie music, im sure that he inspired in the argument of the movie to whrite this, and i thing that this music puts you right in the middle of the conflict of the movie just by listening it, even if you haven't seen the movie.
the first parts of this before the obvious hit song from the film, is actually quite horrific to me. it sums up all of the devastation I felt while watching the film. it pretty much set the tone of what I was to prepare for for the entirety of the film itself. horrific, bone chilling music.
This is like a person's mind being torn apart before being completely broken.
Musician are the real creator, next to GOD I cant express my words just Brilliant nothing more than this .

The "Requiem for a Dream" soundtrack is one of the reasons why Clint Mansell is recognized as a talented composer.
This is one of the toughest play I ever heard...this play a part of my life...love you too much...best of the best
9:05 those violinists creep me the hell out the way they play the opening triplets before the BOOM of the rest of the orchestra coming in.
No wonder this track was so memed, even when I was a child in the early 2000s. It's a masterpiece, truly.
Then at 10:07 they come in with the greatest violin riff ever created and it's just gorgeous.
Those violinists are very godly.
Just came across this video all I can say is wow wow and wow. the music is as haunting as anything I've ever heard ;add that to the movie and you have one knockout punch. Brilliant

These are some of the best and most haunting sounds i have ever heard in my entire life.
Truly amazing how pop music can make billions with auto tuned pretty faced artists. meanwhile unsurpassed talent gets ignored. If they only knew how insanely hard they had to work to get that right. I am truly sorry for the lack of credit and support of others.
Their is no price that is too high to pay to see a performance like this in my lifetime compared to the Ashley Simpson and Justin Bieber type that our culture is forced to listen to.

@@JohnVeritas He definitely doesn't write all of them, but he has written his own lyrics before. I'm not necessarily a fan of him, either, but he does prove to be a capable performer without autotune.
