[4K] Scuba diving Royal Caribbean's Coco Cay!

- If you've ever wondered what there is to see underwater at Coco Cay, this is your chance! We had a great time finishing up our PADI Open Water Diver course at Coco Cay while onboard Allure of the Seas!
The first half of the video is mostly an overview of the dive site and some of the skills we had to demonstrate to earn our diver certification. The last half is where we got to have some fun and swim around for a while, seeing some fish, coral, and one of the resident 6'+ stingrays!
Fast forward to 5:55 if you're interested only in the marine life. If you do the certified excursion, you do go out into slightly deeper water and have a little more time to explore.

Thank you! The certified dive is around $65 with gear. The course is $599 on Royal Caribbean. I use a GoPro 9, it's been amazing so far.
We are doing this course in June 2022. Did you have to purchase any of your own gear?

Thanks for being a great instructor! Up to 12 dives now, have 2 more planned for aruba in a little bit. I've got more videos I need to make, including Roatan and a drift dive in Cozumel which were both AMAZING!

Nice video! One question, do you have to be certified to do scuba diving?
Thanks! Yes, you need to have a full certification.
Some dive shops offer a course called Discover Scuba Diving that gives you a quick run down of skills and safety along with a single dive to 30 feet. It's not a certification, but you're able to do a dive and see if you like it enough to do the full course. It's generally under $200 vs $4-600 for certification.
Unfortunately this is not offered at Coco Cay. I have seen it at a few other ports and actually did it myself in Aruba while on Odyssey.
