you can cover the ugly roof from the inside as much as you want but it won't stop leaking. They didn't even insulate it or anything. That thing needed to be redone completely.

My hat is off to those who are able to improve their surroundings to such an extent as shown here! Well done!! Aside no. 1: I am supposing that these renovations are being done in a very moderate to mild climate -- there's no insulation used anywhere, most notably the ceiling. Aside no. 2: I dunno about squatting over a hole in the floor. It deprives one of the pleasure of sitting and reading for periods of time.
Indeed. Many people of all ages have chronic and permanent hip, knee, leg, and spine issues that will make using a squatting toilet painful, risky, if not impossible. Perhaps having a western style toilet also in the bathroom would be ideal. Terrific video and transformation! Enjoyed watching it.
