Find it funny how people hate Echo for the things she’s done but worship Clarke. Clarke has to one of the worst characters on the show. Her lies and betrayals are horrific. Also Clarke putting a shock collar on Madi and actually using it. Over Clarke and all of her bs
I understand where you’re coming from and in some ways I agree with you. Clarke’s actions are reprehensible depending on who you ask. The reason that I’m able to forgive her for everything she’s done and not Echo is cause I’ve seen Clarke have to face the emotional guilt, pain and struggle of those choices. Additionally, I know the reasoning behind her decisions and I’m inclined to agree with her motives. I can’t say the same for Echo simply because, throughout seasons 3, 4 and 5, I’ve never really seen her hesitate or have difficulty with making hard decisions and hurting others for the sake of her clan. Her motives are quite similar to Clarke, but Clarke always faces punishment from herself and others from her actions and I haven’t seen that with Echo. When I do, I’ll reconsider my feelings about her.
I never hated Echo. She was trained as an assassin by Azgeda. Many times, in crisis situations, she reverts back to the Azgeda killer of her youth. All three ladies, Octavia, Clarke and Echo kill lots of people. They rarely display any hesitation or remorse. Clarke cried when she shot Bellamy, but she killed him anyway. One of the things that fascinated me about the show was that most of the action takes place in societies that have no police or courts. Violence is accepted as a legitimate method to resolve disputes. For that reason, Clarke's actions don't particularly stand out as being any more brutal or harsh than others. The story line in season 5 gets a bit muddled because of all the infighting and factions. For the first three seasons, Clarke's leadership abilities are very effective. But by season 5, she's become obsessed with protecting Madi, even to the point of controlling her, and this obsession continues to affect her decisions from that point onward.
I am very interested into Echos backstory :3 We hardly know anything of her past. I've always find this character interesting. I might not always like her action throughout the show but from day one, I foudn her interesting and she'd become one of my favs in S5 for sure :3 Oh a different look at something due to her upbringing in comparisson to the rest? Now I am REALLY curious :3 Oh nice, interesting that Bob will direct an episode. Kudos to him! :) Protective Echo over Jodan? I'm all for that too :D How Bellamys and Echos relationship evolved from S5 to S6, only through the cryo period? Is that what she asked? Because easy, the exact same! They were asleep and it felt like a night's sleep instead of all these years so nothing changed in the overlap of S5 to S6 O.o As for throughout S6, we'll see. I liek her answer though. Explorng that and how they strengthen each other as a couple :3 I love it when a couple complements each other. Oh nice answer Tasya, talking expertly around any subtextual shipping stuff the interviewer might had in mind with her last question. That Echo sees the struggled Clarke goes through for her people because with that, they indeed share soem similarities! I liked that answer very much :3
Same! Her character was really interesting in season 2 but she was so annoying throughout 3 and 4 and I hated how she was in 5x12 with Clarke cause the whole “I should have killed you when I had the chance” and “now you care about Bellamy?” was just so stupid cause if she’s killed Clarke in season 4 then they’d all be dead and the presumption that she never cared about Bellamy is just ridiculous cause she spent 6 years with Spacekru, people who loved Clarke and believed she sacrificed herself for. If she really knows Bellamy then she would understand that their relationship was integral to him before they went to space. It’s a shame that Tasya is a great actress and nice person playing a character I hate so much. I don’t necessarily want to hate her but I haven’t been given any reason to like her cause she’s still very similar to the person she was before she went to space and the only difference is that her loyalty has shifted to Spacekru. Jason clearly wants to make us like her but he hasn’t given us any reason to.
@@stephanieevans9223 I'm sorry throughout the whole of season Clarke was in the wrong, Echo was in the right, and 5 12 she was doing what she was doing to help everyone, Clarke was self centred. And Clarke has done things to save her people as has Echo if you look at echo and Clarke they are similar in a way of wanting to save their people, hate echo if you want yeah but dont deny that she was in the right and Clarke was wrong throughout season 5.
C Note I’m not saying that Clarke was entirely in the right cause of course she wasn’t. I understand her desperation for protecting Madi but that doesn’t mean that using the collar and joining McCreary was justified. The whole thing with making Madi the Commander made both Clarke and Bellamy do the wrong thing and there was no right answer. I’m more supportive of Clarke’s perspective though because Bellamy didn’t seem to grasp how great a betrayal that would be for Clarke because Madi’s her child and he knowingly put her in the middle of the war, and both he and Clarke knew that there would be no guarantee that she would be safe, regardless of however many people in Wonkru believed in the Flame. Clarke taking Madi and leaving might have been the right call because I don’t really know what they could have done in the moment to both keep Madi safe, stop the war and safe Bellamy, Indra and Gaia. Plus, they didn’t know that McCreary had taken over so obviously she thought that they’d be joining Diyoza, who would have been a better ally then McCreary. Look, the real reason that I hated Spacekru (not including Monty and Harper cause they were doing their best the entire season to petition peace) and Echo in 5x12 is just cause they were just so quick to judge Clarke for that betrayal without even thinking about the motivation; the first thing that Raven said to Clarke in that episode was “I haven’t seen you for 6 years Clarke and you’re pointing a gun at me”. Admittedly that phrasing makes it sound like Clarke’s entirely in the wrong, but she said that right after trying to remove Madi’s collar, which I do agree with, but with the intention of taking her back to the desert to lead Wonkru, which I still don’t agree with because Madi’s a child and should not be thrown into a war as the Commander when, as Clarke states, Commanders always die. I don’t care if the fact that Madi’s a Nightblood means she’s destined to lead them in Grounder culture - she’s still a child and no child should have to fight or lead in a war. Clearly my problem is less about Echo and just with Bellamy and Spacekru as a whole because they just seemed so eager to judge Clarke - who, I might add, has saved them countless times and hardly ever with the proper gratitude she deserves (I know that plenty of people like to hate Clarke for the things she’s had to do to save them like irradiating Mt Weather, but the damn fact is that there was no good choice and all of our fan favourites would have been dead a long time ago without her making those decisions) - and never even seem to consider what she went through with just her and Madi in the Valley being alone for 6 years and how obvious it is that Clarke would need and want to protect her. Also, side note, it was ridiculous that Bellamy was so sure that Octavia would see reason and once they surrendered and woke up in the valley. The only possible way that he might have convinced Clarke and I that putting the Flame in Madi was a good idea is if he had promised Clarke that he would find some way to keep Madi safe in the process. You might think that I’m being super defensive of Clarke and hating on Spacekru, but it really just seems idiotic to me that they assumed she would just be on board with that, assuming that being all but alone for 6 years wouldn’t have changed her.
@@stephanieevans9223 I understand where you are coming from Clarke has done a lot to help the human race survive not just her people, I dont hate Clarke at all, but what annoys is that people continue to think she is the best person and has done no wrong and that echo is the worst person. I Get where toy are coming from, I just hope that season 6 issues from season 5 are resolved, especially with that special episode where they have to come face to face with their demons that's gonna be a great episode.
C Note I agree with you about season 6. I hope that we see all of them face the horrors they’ve committed, not just Clarke and Octavia, who, based on the trailer, are constantly reminded of all the things they’ve done and more so than everyone else. And I also agree with you that we shouldn’t hold Clarke on a podium and completely hate Echo. But really it’s Bellamy that I have the most reason to be annoyed with, as of season 5. The whole thing with putting the Flame in Madi’s head and then basically making Spacekru hate Clarke makes me so angry, but I’m also just annoyed that, as shown in the trailer, we’re going to have to watch Raven say to Clarke “every time you do something horrible you say you’re sorry, and then you do it again”, as well as Bellamy saying to Octavia “my sister died a long time ago”. Obviously the first one with Raven is annoying cause it just makes me want Clarke to say “do you want to make the calls? Do you want to have to carry the burden? Cause clearly you think there’s another way and all my decisions are destructive”. Bellamy’s line annoys me because, as terrible as Octavia’s actions were (obviously burning down the farm to keep her power and make Wonkru march just to win the war and validate the cannibalism was terrible and she should be held accountable for it), part of the things she did were actually for Wonkru in the beginning and, as far as we’ve seen, Bellamy still doesn’t know about the Dark Year, therefore that line is either before or after finding out, neither of which is something that Octavia needs to hear to become better. Sorry this has gone on all day. Basically, I think we’re on the same page. I might not personally like Echo, but she’s definitely not the worst character and, whether or not her morals are good or bad, she’s loyal to a fault, so she and Clarke do have that in common.
I love the100 and i'm so excited to see s6 honestly i don't like echo but she deserves respect like all others characters👏❤❤Btw i'm not a native American nd i'd love to find a native speaker (American) to speak with him/her😍😍Anyone interessting?
I cannot wait for Echo’s backstory! Tasya is absolutely amazing.
She is so fun and cute. Thanks for this content ❤️
She has had a great character arc...awesome interviews!!!
She has such a lovely voice
I love Echo and Bellamy’s relationship 👍I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I’m glad to hear we will see how they complete each other so well!!
Tasya talking about bob and him being a director makes my heart melt ♾♥️♾
I love that shes a leader I hope they explore her story more.
Looks like this season is going to be fun.
