Great idea for a team selection announcement video! No expert opinions/reactions, no drama or hype, no fanfare and not at all boring.
Highlights of each player's hard work and talent which resulted in their selection.
Just straight up "here's the pick for this pos and here's why!"

Latrell, Moses and Cam Murray are massive inclusions also Watson at 14 gives the team good balance

API has won how many premierships playing 9 🧐 Robson is a good player but API’s deception and ability to bring players onto the ball is next to none.
as a qlder i agree they should of picked him so we could just run over that speed bump all night. Robson wont miss a tackle

@@trevormwabulabrookings Moses absolutely killed it! His organisation and vision were primo. His run, ball play and boot were things of beauty and he was an absolute beast in defence! Not to mention equalling Freddy's 4 try assist record. What a performance! Well deserved MOTM and brutally silenced anyone questioning his selection!
Obviously Cleary's skill, ability, game control and balls are unquestionable, and his availability may be expected to result in his selection my most, but that performance by Moses clearly shows he's up to the task and should at least make game 3's team selection just that little bit tougher.
Few would be upset if Cleary was back in the 7 jersey for the decider, which I actually doubt will be the case, available or not (as Madge himself has even indicated).. but if Moses were to be replaced after that masterclass I'd struggle to recall any time any player of anything has ever previously been replaced after playing so well without illness, injury or misdemeanour!

I disagree, with the game so fast and non stop now Watson will give Queensland more problems than Burton. His kick does cause problems but he would get very limited opportunity to use it off the bench.

I would imagine alot of blues players would consider game 1 a write off and have a bit to prove going to melb after getting flogged at home. Trell, Murray, Moses and Edwards are all upgrades from Game 1. @@fattlane1866

Problem with Moses is he will be on fire for few minutes then goes into hibernation for an indefinite period.

Yeah true, agreed about last year too. I think you'd put walker in for luai though, they're similar play makers. Moses would offer better organisation and direction for the last tackle options which is what the game 1 team lacked, his kicking game is up there with the best in the comp too, both long and short

Looks like the statisticians picked this roster, I’m sure Maguire has all the data from game 1……Looks good though 🤞🏻……we’ll all find out soon on how they play together based on metrics.

Conner Watson is a strange pick. How is Matt Burton not in this side?
Because all he has is a kick he is highly overrated
Burton can play as halfback, centre or fullback in case of injury and send offs
@@danielkelly4487 you are a very small minded individual, burton has 8 tries and makes 100 metres a game as a five-eight, but yes connor watson who is a bench player and has half the stats burton has is better.
@@Brazil92 burton has 4 try assists not even in the top 50 he is 45th for lines engage so everyone calls him a so called runner of the ball but he doesn’t do that either . So he doesn’t take the line on often and doesn’t set up tries what does he actually do ? All he has is a kick and he averages 80 m a game not 100 m so don’t try and pad up hes stats
8 tries sure but I’d say half of them were just backing up through the middle

Connor Watson is an Ideal utility a team could have.... There hasn't been a perfect Utility for NSW since Craig Wing... Connor brings the same energy, speed and X factor....😊

Clean sweep for QLD. Picking Latrell at centre is a mistake. Bradman best or Jesse Raimen are form centres. Dropping Tedesco is another mistake. Tedesco is made for origin. Dylan Edwards is not a origin player. NSW only needed to change Hynes for Moses and replace Suali.

Teddy is defensively exposed every game since billy has been coach of qld. He cant tackle the hammer or cobbo. And walsh will blitz teddy as well. Edwards is the right choice

Who is covering an injury to the outside backs? Something like 83% of games are lost if there is no one to cover for injured outside backs.
Yeo is a legend but he is not a bench player, he is wasted on the bench. Burton and Watson should be on the bench.

We're never going to defeat the Queenslanders. We just simply don't have enough resources available to mount an effective challenge. Its a waste of time.
State of origin makes too much money to be scrapped unfortunately. Nothing left to prove. Everyone knows Queensland is the superior team to NSW. But remember, State of "ORIGIN" was only created because NSW used to pick any players playing in NSW and used to win all the time and it became boring. Now the shoe is on the other foot...😮
