Derek, this is great--you freak. We should really post the audio of when we crushed pedal A's in octaves over the orchestra in the Submarine piece... the string basses were confused because they'd never heard that before.
Not a tuba player but a bass trombonist so I can appreciate the pedals. No hunting or breaking up of a note you nailed it every time. And how you played that falling gliss like Tim at the end ? Unbelievable. Curious what size # of mouthpiece ?
@@P_E308 yeah that’s a lie and a G-7 literally is a frequency that makes noise every few seconds. He’s using fry too, anyone could do anything with fry
We done Sir. I don't have any knowledge of the inner workings of a tuba, but I'm guessing the B0 that Tim Storms sings at the end of his rendition is beyond the bottommost range of the tuba. It appeared as if the E1 was pushing the boundaries so a B1 was substituted at the end. Regardless, much appreciation and respect for your talents.
You realize Derek played an octave lower than Storms sang most of the time, right? A B0 is nothing to a tuba, at the bottom range for only some players. Derek was going in the negatives
@@pif_el_kien8254 A0 being the lowest note on a piano. The Tuba can play the octave below that if needed, which really is never. The lowest you’ll usually hear a tuba play is Ab0, a semitone below the lowest A on a piano.

Who's the next? David Kennamer? J.D. Sumner? You are AMAZING ❤
Ha, ha, ha! Yes! This has serious contrabass SOUL!
I love this!! You might try some Gold City quartet with Tim Riley, he could shake the walls too!!
That's amazing. The way you made it slide was unreal!!
Congratulations on the excellent work! I love the bass sound!
Thank you for this Derek!! This is awesome
Just played this in my car stereo, and you'll be pleased to know your pedals shake the entire car!

You know the sound is just beat of high "BPM". For example the "A" tone is 440 beats ber second.
Fantastic!!
