  • Return of a Legend! One of the most classic and beloved 6S capable brushless 1/8 high speed basher buggies of all time! After 10 years of watching it from afar I finally get to Own and Run and Break and Repair the HPI Vorza Flux Brushless RC Car !
    Even though I initially opted for the Arrma Typhon, when picking out my first 1/8 buggy, I simply couldn't resist a private offer of this brand new Vorza. This is the one I have been watching videos with for the past 10 years and the one I always wanted. Seeing it at Smedjens Race Track just rekindled my old desire. Check his channel out here: / @smedjensracetrack2812
    With the new Vorza S Flux just released, I think now is the time to secure a classic Vorza, for small money and before it starts to disappear. And even though it did break at the end of the third run, I'm looking forward trying it out on 6S, doing some speed tests and of course just enjoy running it many more times. The breakage was a minor repair and if interested you can watch it on my second channel soon.
    Thank you for watching!

    Hi there Mikael, a great looking and performing HPI, I loved the reverse shots and the slow motion shots. Especially those with the grass being ripped and thrown out the back! Awesome running, filming and editing. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😁😉👊🏼

    I brought this car finally was exoecting a flux tork (castle) and its got a hobbywing not as much torque, the gear up with the castle made 127kph the hobbywing only 111 kph not as much torque. Cheaper system but same price was spewing.

    Hi, I was wondering, is the Vorza better choice than the Typhoon? I’m asking since I’m in doubt which one to buy of those 2. Hope you will give you’re point of view?😊

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi John. I think they are a bit of the same actually. The Vorza seems a bit better handling. But the Typhon seems a bit more durable. But both top quality and top fun ☺️

    I think only 4s power is allowed in 1/8 buggy racing, so the Vorza would not meet the requirements... Anyway, it looks pretty cool.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only tried it on 4S so far. Plenty of power. Well, for me it’s more of a basher buggy than racing buggy.

    HPI can`t handle anything, they just break from nothing.
    And cars like the Sport 3 Flux 911 came with front axles too short for the car, stripped spur gears every run, couldn`t adjust mesh because the motor was stuck to the motormount, the motormount was stuck to the chassis, chassis made of soft plastic and the only thing holding the bottom cover on which was what held the spur in place was also soft plastic, with machine screw in it.
    Absolute trash.
    HPI is garbage, buy Arrma, or even traxxASS instead.
    At least they don`t come broken from the factory or are literally impossible to work on..

    Hiya Mikael. Oh yeah this was high on my wish list for a while back in the day. I've just had a look and they are still available in the UK but I don't know if they are still producing it or if that is old stock. Looks pretty quick on 4s so should fly on 6s. You got some lovely slo-mo shots and I enjoyed the format and edit of the video. Hope that spares are available for this one. I've still got my HPI Firestorm but worry about driving it in case I can't get the spares. Anyway, happy Saturday mate. Best wishes to you and yours 🙂

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hejsa Pete! Yeah, remember videos with these from when I started in the hobby again, almost ten years ago. I remember the Vorza was also a favorite for high speed cars. Nowadays it seems more like Arrma. I think they have stopped production of these again now, when the new Vorzas are out. But I hope they share a lot of parts. Maybe one day they will make a Firestorm II with reused parts from the old one. That would be lovely ☺️ Thank you for your kind feedback my friend. Best of Saturdays to you and yours.

      @@NordicRCI bloody brought one then realised a month later they brought out a new one! I love the old one but worried about parts now n it should've been cheaper going out of profuction and bloody hobbywing instead of the crazy torque castle motor it used to have. Cheaper system but same price grr.

    Argh, what broke? Didn't look like a wild crash, on dirt... I was more scared when you showed that playground, looked like some of those features were real RC killers, but then that rubberized surface must have been cool to drive on. I just found a skatepark in the neighbouring village here, I need to take an HBX there sometime soon, try some fun before it gets too cold...
    And the other first thing I needed to comment, gotta love the sound of eighth scale!
    Have a great weekend there, buddy!

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mads! Ahh, just the rod end of the shock. Funny, never broke that on my Arrma. And yeah, couldn’t really do much on the small skate park with a 1/8 metal buggy. Much better with a small HBX with flexible plastic. I’ve also been meaning to do that but just never got around to it. And yeah, we should do it before it gets too cold ☺️ Love the sound of giant metal gears and giant brushless motors too. Hope you are having a great weekend my friend
