The final boss gets a proper fight in this version. I remember only using the probe gun on her just to see if it could work in the original. After many, many shots it surprisingly did. Few games let you insult the final boss to such an extent.
in the remake it's actually really effective to use the proven gun, sure you want to swap to a different weapon while it's dealing damage to maximize dps, but if it's fully upgraded it will melt her

Dude, i have 16gb of ram and a 2060. Most of the time the game ran fantastic. But this fucking boss level is cursed. Shes a cheap bullet sponge with way too much firepower and theres not enough cover. Oh also, with all of the particle affects she makes with her 30 fucking balloon bombs, sometimes the framerate will jump.

I'm surprised this game wasn't made by the same people who did Stubbs the Zombie, which was an hilarious game. The soundtrack came out at a time where labels would gather indie bands for a themed anthology album, like School House Rock Rocks and Powerpuff Girls: Heroes and Villains.
Well, you know how these super-duper-ultra-mega-alpha-uber-prefix organizations like MAJESTIC and the MiB are: they are not part of the system. They are above it, beyond it. The rules and laws of mortal men mean precisely dick to them.
I always remembered the Robo Prez boss fight being harder in the original as you had to worry about the military assisting him at the same time. Having to avoid emp coils and constantly dodging heat seeking missiles, avoiding attacks on the ground by tanks and other enemies and vehicles, while also making sure to not get too close to Robo Prez or he uses this powerful lazer that devastates your shields. All the while having a finite number of health pick ups found in destroyed buildings so you had to have your shit together in order to win this fight. You had to be dodging shit like Neo from the matrix just to survive. Kinda disappointed really. The Silhouette boss fight is much the same, its difficulty was also reduced. During the fight with her in the original she was also constantly assisted by the military mechs. Majestic agents also assisted her who kept sapping your telepathic abilities and emp coils placed about the area constantly disabling your weapons. All of this had to be managed as you were fighting Silhouette. If you were not careful and ignored these hazards you could end up with all your offensive options disabled and left quite vulnerable and outnumbered by more enemies than you can manage.
Watching this video and reading this was enough to give me some ptsd of this fight. I remember her only being able to be damaged by the zapo as well and i swear she could regain health too. It was such a ridiculously hard boss fight.

There is an upgrade for the Repulso-tron(?) that causes missiles to be sent back to where they were launched from; that was ESPECIALLY useful in the Robo-Prez boss.

I was genuinely suprised and smiling when I found out that Silhouette is voiced by Nika Futterman, the same actress who voiced Foxy Loxy in Chicken Little. Another favorite game off mine when I was a kid.
Edit: She also voiced Ventress from the clone wars as well. Loved that show too.

If it's really THAT easy to beat up Crypto just by dodging his charge and kicking him aside like a sack of potatoes WHAT EXACTLY STOPPED HER FROM KILLING HIM RIGHT THEN AND THERE? He was all alone and without a weapon in arms. So much for a humanity's last line of defense.
I'm surprised this game wasn't made by the same people who did Stubbs the Zombie, which was an hilarious game. The soundtrack came out at a time where labels would gather indie bands for a themed anthology album, like School House Rock Rocks and Powerpuff Girls: Heroes and Villains.

I always remembered the Robo Prez boss fight being harder in the original as you had to worry about the military assisting him at the same time. Having to avoid emp coils and constantly dodging heat seeking missiles, avoiding attacks on the ground by tanks and other enemies and vehicles, while also making sure to not get too close to Robo Prez or he uses this powerful lazer that devastates your shields.
All the while having a finite number of health pick ups found in destroyed buildings so you had to have your shit together in order to win this fight.
You had to be dodging shit like Neo from the matrix just to survive. Kinda disappointed really.
The Silhouette boss fight is much the same, its difficulty was also reduced. During the fight with her in the original she was also constantly assisted by the military mechs. Majestic agents also assisted her who kept sapping your telepathic abilities and emp coils placed about the area constantly disabling your weapons. All of this had to be managed as you were fighting Silhouette. If you were not careful and ignored these hazards you could end up with all your offensive options disabled and left quite vulnerable and outnumbered by more enemies than you can manage.
Watching this video and reading this was enough to give me some ptsd of this fight. I remember her only being able to be damaged by the zapo as well and i swear she could regain health too. It was such a ridiculously hard boss fight.
I decided to buy this game thinking it was pretty fun, and trust me. IT WAS pretty fun
Also during the robo prez bossfight I played Rammsteins Amerika song and it was perfect for the bossfight-

Back when this game cane out, I had the hardest time beating robo prez, but that was because I didn't ever upgrade my saucer, just crypto and his weapons...
I beat Robo prez easy. It was silhouette that i had a hard time with.
and of course the true mastermind behind all of it is the most cunning, most evil and most selfish thing you could imagine ..... a human female
But she was the hero in this we play the villain XD
