If it doesn't lock in place you just have the first jeep with daylight running lamps!

Disconnect the battery, no beeping. Thanks for posting. I have a similar problem and I thought that the switch for the high beams was getting worn contacts or a bad ground but now that I see your video it may be the headlight switch. It does feel sloppy.

I'm having the problem I thought it was the switch but I wasn't positive. So now I have to do this myself.

I have 2001 xj my headlight switch made weird buzzing then ran my battery dead then we replaced the headlight switch still runs battery down upgraded to the 4h headlight harness still got a steady drain when doin a parasitic draw nothing shows up ugh 3 years trouble free now 3 months of nightmare everything else works fine other than flickering of the dash panel another side effect from this problem ugh any suggestions some clean all grounds and upgraded them
