If only the pastor ofnthe church I was going to would preach like this. Maybe... Just MAYBE his music director, wouldn't have even been tk a hell-o-ween party/posting pictures of it/ then get all bent out of shape when I called him out on it! Then he ran to another deacon who wouldn't call me but sent a text telling me "because I have different beliefs I was not allowed to go with them on a mission trip. Instead of COMING TO ME, they all ran around the church back biting/ gossiping/ ostrisizing me because of MY SPEAKING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE WHOLE THING. The church allowed "trunk or treat, dressing up as "biblical ghosts" and all manner of UNGODLYNESS!!! PLEASE PRAY FOR THAT CHURCH!
In no way do I believe that women should be silenced. I've heard your wife speak. She is awesome! I've been on here defending you for months against some nasty haters. You were in Iowa. Would have loved to go but you have your wife listed as speaking as pastor. So we stayed home. My wife sent you an email asking about this. You didn't respond.
It’s interesting that people use the verse about women being silenced to say that women shouldn’t teach. That specific direction was for the Corinthians and what was going on in the Corinthian church, and all of their paganism with the shaved heads, and all of that being symbolic to whatever God they were worshiping. The apostle Paul doesn’t state that anywhere else only to the specific pagan people

I was thinking of the verse from first Timothy, where it speaks about women learning in silence, and for her not to have authority over a man. Paul was writing to the Corinthians about things going on in that congregation, their immorality.
