I love this channel, but just wanted to say this. The cumulative point format takes a lot of the strategy out of Molkky. Normally it’s all about hitting 50 and more importantly defending against your opponents hitting 50 which creates strategy around being hard to defend with your shot/pin selection. If everyone keeps their score at the end of the round, there is little incentive to defend and it becomes a purely offensive game about just scoring points for yourself. There can even be cases where going for 50 points is a bad idea because the risk of going back to 25 outweighs the benefit of the additional points. If I misunderstand the way this format is being played or if anyone has input I appreciate it. This is great content anyway but I wanted to discuss these thoughts. Sorry I don’t know Japanese. Thank you for your comment. I understand what you're saying. I also think that a 50-point game with a first to win 2 or 3 sets format is good. However, when it comes to games to decide 1st to 3rd place, sometimes you have to make it a total score game due to time constraints.
