    I don't play piano or guitar, but the 25 keys version MK3 has user chord function where I can program all the chords that I want to use on the pads, and use the modulation wheel to strum up or down the chords. The mini launchkeys doesn't have that only the full size keys of the launchkeys MK3 series. So I used it as a stand alone. I did purchase ableton 12 intro, so I do hope to get into that soon. The pads are really nice and sensitive, better than my pads on my Roland MV-1 groove box.

      Do you use Ableton? If so novation… if not I’d consider the Arturia

      @Khordmaster I feel Arturia has more review and users than Novation.
      I just heard that Nivation has more feature and work well with ableton..
      But still Novation doesn't catch my mind due to it only depend on its partner or daw collaboration.
      While Arturia creat its own analog lab which is easy for beginner like me.

      Are you a piano player or want to play piano? Then you need a fully weighted keyboard. Personally I prefer Yamaha. I own DGX-670. It has decent speakers, a lot of sounds, including drum kits. It supports both MIDI and audio over USB, so you can use it with DAWs. I tried multiple MIDI controllers and all of them had very bad keybed. Very noisy clicky keys like in this video, velocity issues, when black and white keys have different velocities. With my wokstation and DAWs I usually use 61 key Casio CT-S1. I saw it in background in this video. In my opinion the key feel of CT-S1 is much better than any MIDI controller from M-Audio, Arturia, or Novation.

      DOPE do you use it with your laptop or desktop? I am going to soon work on integrating it into my home studio / mac studio set up, and explore using ableton more in that set up rather than on my laptop which proved to be not as fun because when I am mobile like that, I prefer making music with an iPad or other mobile gear! Hello. So I have the launchkey 88 midi controller, but I will be moving somewhere else very soon. I am considering getting a smaller board to be able to play with. And I have been looking at the launchkey 49...seeing that I am accustomed to 88 keys ..and I have owned a different board with 61 keys, as a professional, what would you recommend? ...Get the launchkey 61 or the 49? ..... usually I play with the piano sounds and make tracks and the whole works...but I want something smaller that's not going to be too crammed..and I have no experience with 49 keys..ooking forward to your response soon.

    • @Khordmaster
      @Khordmaster  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Suppppp! It really depends. If it’s going to be stationary for the most part then I would say 61 keys all the way. If you have plans to move it around a bit and use it with different set ups then 49 is nice!
