Testament have always delivered 5 star music but they are better than ever now. Easily one of my absolute favorite bands."Dark roots of Earth" and "The formation of damnation" are quite simply put........... thrash metal masterpieces \\m//

Gene Hoglan is simply INCOMPARABLE.I've never seen a man jumps from band to band with such ease.Does anybody knows how many bands he plays with throughout his legendary carrier?
I grew up in the Bay Area, my cousin Matt lived in Fremont and took me over to Alex’s house to watch him play, I watched this guy start playing and by the 2 minute mark, I wondered why I even was trying to play the guitar?, I knew I would never get to this level because it’s like something he was born w, uno? Not necessarily practice, a innate ability, a gift that I never forgot about, the Bay Area has always had really great guitarists , there’s a style they all have, like Dave mcknetti from Y&T, who is to me, the most underrated guitarist of all time. That guy not only can shred, he sings for them!.
@@Ando2k10 Its not a remaster that will fix that, it's the mix that needs to be fixed, and no clue if the original masters are still even around. They did a tour like 7 or 8 years ago where they played the first three albums front to back, and I wish they had recorded those well and released it.
Gene Hoglan and Dave Lombardo are my favorite drummers. Got to see Gene recently on the Testament tour with Anthrax and Death Angel and again at the Death To All Tour. The Atomic Clock!
Scary how this songs which was released in 2012 predicted the future generations almost a decade later. The lyrics are telling what is happening to this generation. Sad but fucking legendary and awesome at the same time. A friend at a trade school about 8 years back got me into Testament, when i first heard one of their songs, they sounded like NO ONE else
Definitely man! My favorite thrash album I've heard so far this year, and that's saying something with Kreator and Overkill releasing outstanding albums as well!

This has a classic thrash riff,& Alex,Eric,Gene, hell even Chuck deliver on this song. I also heard native blood,& that has the song structure,& sound that we've all come to love about testament. Sounds like testament are fucking back!!!

Got a good point there.Unfortunately, many people can't accept that people like different music, especially metal fans seem to be unable to accept that some people like pop music/rap/dubstep/etc. That's the one thing I really started to hate about many metalheads...
