    Jay, I am sure this project will be awesome. Unfortunately I guess I will have to wait for the DVD release. Since I will most likely never get to meet you or your brothers I would like to thank you and your brothers for the awesome music you have given the world. It is my belief that the Osmonds need to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame !!! God bless you and your family !!!

      They ABSOLUTELY should get an invitation to not only The Hall, but The Kennedy Center Honors, as well. Their talent and contribution to American music and its legacy is unmeasured!

      PLEASE bring this to the States as soon as you can! There are enough of us "girls" who were teen fans during those early Os-days, to guarantee a sell -out audience EVERY NIGHT...Gotta love Jay!

    I am only six minutes into this interview and already I feel the need to comment. This is an important story because it validates and encourages all of us to understand that we each have a right to own an individual perspective. I can sense the care Jay is taking in choosing just the appropriate words to explain this and still honour his family. I hope he will continue to share his wisdom and lessons learned.

    Jay really looks good. It looks like he has lost weight. He also looks rested. Semi-retirement must be good for him. I am happy for him.

    Mother Osmond used to say Wayne was the only one who resembled her side of the family, Jay is looking more and more like the Davis side. Been a fan/follower since the Andy Williams days, and Im a few months younger than Jay!

    I’ve always been an Osmond fan ever since their first hit One Bad Apple, always loved them but even more I’ve always respected them. They always had good strict morals, always were good role models for their fans & they always loved & respected each other, that is something that is so rare in the music business & entertainment business. Jay was always my favorite, but I loved the whole family, & I really hope he brings his musical to the U.S. because I would really love to see it. So glad that Jay is so happy with his project & everything he’s doing now & how happy he is with his wife, Karen. Enjoy the rest of your life Jay, the same to the rest of the family, you’ve all earned it. 💖

    Donny is actually the one who has stated his father was similar to Joe Jackson.

      Not true. I have heard him talk about this and he says they were not alike at all, just like Jay says here.

    Have the brothers been paid royalties now, being as it was mentioned here? And as far as I know, there were three brothers in the song writing team, as listed on the albums as Alan, Merrill and Wayne Osmond. This is what I remember from being a fan of nearly 50 years. It is funny that none of the brothers (or sister) have mentioned the musical, apart from a passing reference by Donny. I wonder why this is when they are all usually so supportive of each other?

    Lovely to see Jay. However, I’ve just also seen Alex Belfields post about this play coming here to the UK shortly. He has known the family for over 20 years in the biz. His post has shocked me I must say. He confirms that the Osmond family are not very ok with this play. He says he has spoken to the family and says the Osmond family have not been invited to be a part of their story. I find that all very confusing. Alex does know Marie very well and Donny and Merrill and Jimmy very well but states Jay he does not know very well. Jay does speak about only doing work ‘with’ the family unit all through his life and this play is Jays view on the Osmonds life story. They have individually done books about their life, Jay did his own great autobiography called Stages so he has done something individually. I really loved his book it was one of the better ones written I feel. I sincerely hope this play does not cause another rift and resentment within the Osmonds and that they can all get together under one roof to sort out any ifs or buts before it has opening night. It would devastate all Osmonds fans to think it’s tearing the family behind the scenes. Resentment through lack of communication is not pretty. I 🙏🏼 this all can be sorted out and wouldnt it be great to see ALL the family members attend on one special first night viewing as they used to do in the good ol days. I wish the family well. 💜💜💜

      I don't think it is goin to be controversial. I think it is going to be colorful and I think he is going show the true power of family. They love each other and will support him.

      @bc5689 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I don't know why Alex is saying the things he is but he is totally wrong about this. There will be no rift within the family, only love and support for the play. For someone who claims to know the family so well he should know better. There is no way in the world Jay of any of the others would do something to upset the others.

      I would believe Jay over a "fan". I've met most of the Osmonds also two know me by name but I wouldn't spread lies "speaking" for the family.

    Father was a loving father and joe Jackson as abusive

  • @savannahsmiles1797

    sorry Jay, but working Donny and Marie for 20 hrs a day, as said by them, to do a show, to be the "best" was child abuse. To tell Donny that marrying ruined his career-when in the LDS religion, family IS the pinnacle, is more than harsh. I think the Osmond's did a marvelous job out there in the biz, but the sacrifices they had to endure. No wonder Wayne got cancer, Merrill suffered with depression, Donny has anxiety, that is a result of TOO MUCH STRESS & PRESSURE for kids. Just my opinion, of a family that was forced to have a perfect image, work constantly to support their big family, and got mixed messages growing up.

      @clairdelunefan 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, they were worked excessively hard. Nor were they given the choice to pursue any other career paths. Overall though, they did turn out to be stable, fine people. Heck, at least they're not absurdly dysfunctional like some of the Jacksons or most child stars.

    • @axab4333
      @axab4333 ปีที่แล้ว

      that is so true! And people just deny it and believe Jay. Plus he refused to send any of the family a script. Why would he do that if he thought they would all be ok with it? Very strange behaviour from one member of the family to another.
