Thank you Alexandra. Something for everyone today. Happy Birthday respectively to both King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Princess Rajwa of Jordan. Queen Maxima’s headband/hat was interesting - I’m sure there is a story to go with its design - something significant about butterflies maybe. Just as with the hat design of the Japanese royal ladies - I have never seen them in a wide brimmed hat - always something understated and demure. Although I did watch a doco on the tiaras belonging to the Imperial Japanese Family - they have some stunning pieces. 🇦🇺

I didn't know that a national holiday can also be a King's birthday until now. The more you know. Plus it's a blessing be 57. Princess Catherina Amalia of Orange has on a green coat and dress. Queen Maxima is wearing also a green dress but she paired it with a white cardigan and gloves. I like the Princess of Orange's outfit better. BTW what is that leaf thing on her head? Why did the Queen and the Princess of Orange wear green?
The leaf thing on our Queens head are butterflies. Cause the city of Emmen’s nickname is Butterfly town, there’s a wonderful Zoo with a butterfly garden.
