Tester wanna test all those as well . Tester act as an gateway, the build is realised only after getting signoff from the tester. So, tester role is more responsible in this case .

I am working as tester in MNC. What you said is true... Most of the tester works in scrum board (managing task and story)and Excel. But if they can move to automation testing they can get a better salary. Type of testing is based on the project provided by the company. Even if you are automation tester you might be forced to work as manual tester. I feel that testers are forced to work more because managers might think that tester's work is easy so they will expect more updates.

I'm a QA in CTS. In Manual testing they use more Excel sheet and sql. If u r interested in SQL then you can switch .

Could nt agree that tester has more job than developer😅.. Being worked in both environment I can easily comment, Working as developer is somewhat more stressful at some times than a cool tester to find bugs which is not necessary too😜.. But irrespective of the role,team plays a major role

@@kaththi4863 Maybe but in my company, even though tester missed a defect we are questioned for the bug. It's obvious and responsible for developers to deliver defect free jobs.
In our team 5 developers has 1 tester.. and he has to test all those tasks developed by those devs... also when something fails in PROD tester is the one who get busted at first... so what u said is not TRUE
